Who: Shiori + Kiriko
What: A picture and a conversation.
Where: School
When: Monday after school
Why: Shiori's looking for an honest opinion, and who better to ask than someone she doesn't know?

It wasn't uncommon for Shiori to be one of the last to leave the school. Though usually she had to stay for detention, she was known to stay on occasion in order to finish a picture she had started in class. It was no surprise why her grades were as low as they were, but it was no surprise either that her work was rather impressive either from how much time she spent drawing. This Monday was one such case. Sitting in the first year's hall for no reason other than it was the bottom floor, Shiori sat on the floor with her back to the wall and legs propped slightly. She was one of the few female students that wore pants rather than skirts (after last year's many incidents, she found it easier to follow the dress code by wearing pants), and so was at no risk of someone seeing anything he or she shouldn't. A pair of headphones sat on her head, a steady beat that could barely be heard by a passerby playing.

Next to her was her bag with a small pile of pens atop it, all the same color and brand. Her newest picture was one she had done in pen, and rather than differing it with a different kind of pen had used one she had multiples of. Though by the time she finished the picture, she may not have many more left. Her mom would be so mad at her for using up so many so quickly again...

Nearly finished with her picture of a young boy holding a snake to his already bitten, scratched, and bruised arm, Shiori failed to notice how late it was starting to get. Activities were coming to an end, meaning the school would be shut down for the night as well. Still, she was determined to finish and maybe even get feedback.

And, finally - miraculously - she finished after a while longer. By now, activities had ended, and as Shiori gathered her pens and placed them in the bag she kept an eye out for someone to get an opinion from. It had to be someone she didn't know, or else she wouldn't get honest feedback. But who to ask...

Spotting a girl coming her way, Shiori stood quickly and waved the girl over.

"Hey, can I ask you something really quick?" she asked, holding the picture out in front of her. "I'm not sure about the anatomy - does it look right to you?"

She answered the compliment with a smile. She wasn't sure if Shiori meant it or was just being nice, but it didn't particularly matter to her - she had a strange fondness for the things, in the same way one often saw single urban women on TV go after shoes. She tended to notice other's and was never unhappy to have her own be noticed in kind.

"Thanks. I've got to get going now, though. Maybe I'll see you around, Wakanata-san?"
