Millenium City is a good time to explore/contrast not only established relationships and take strides towards resolving ones with unfinished business, but also a good time for what ifs, relationships that might have been, or ones that you can see unfolding in the late stages of the game.

In the comments, tap people you'd like to thread with, with an idea for foundation if possible.

Also, a proposal: Reconsidering the ranking system so that it isn't so heavily weighted towards high and low ranks indicating like or dislike, respectively. Looking at my own links I'm finding there should be some in-between space for rivalry or other connections, because that can be just as significant.

Kozue - Obviously.
Keiichi - There's actually been a lot of interaction, up and down, throughout the game with these two - even a few power struggles, and certainly some unexplored stuff about leadership. I think neither of them are really sure what to think about the other, and they need some kind of a resolution.
Kai - Kiriko has given him a few pushes along the way. He sided against her at the end but I think even she can appreciate how far he came to do that.
Tom - Early game had more interaction between them, so I'm not entirely sure where to pick up or what direction to move on, but it feels like they've talked significantly enough to include.
Toru - Has been the most direct "benefactor" of Kiriko's "help," manifested in many different ways. She still looks down on him a bit, but what he said stung. Unfinished business, for sure.
Toshimi - I'm not sure if they've tread the forging your own destiny thing as much as it can be tread, but hey, I'm willing to find out.
Kou - They've ricocheted between cordiality and rivalry the whole game through. This needs a resolution.
Reizo - Obviously.
Isao - Intense fucking endgame lines spark late-game link for good or ill?

I don't have any specific direction in mind for Maeko, Masami, Renju, Seiko, Yoshimi and Misaki (Kiriko/Renju: There was that talk at Obon and Seiko/Kiriko: They did stand together at the end?) but I am game for it if you have an idea.

Agreed.

I think resolution can be found, and any common ground they share seems a good way to shoehorn that in. They both become professionals, but in different fields. There's a certain level of drive, ambition and skill they both possess.

I'm just coming up blank on actual events in-game to drive things forward atm.

We should definitely pursue this link further.
