WHO: Kozue and Kiriko
WHAT: A much less serious conversation

Kozue had come down from the feeling of euphoria and enlightenment and whatever not-Buddhist-because-what-did-Persephone-have-to-do-with-the-Buddha sorts of sensations she'd been feeling. What remained was the need to share her finds with Kiriko, and find a way to make sense of it. Well, logical sense––emotionally it was all in order, but the facts and the logic needed putting together, and that was Kiriko's zone of effectiveness.

"So, like I said, about my gr–– well, about me not being exactly the portion of half I always thought," she started.

Like my dad," for one, who was arguably more affected than she had been, and now Kozue paused to wonder just what his relationship with Fumiko had been like––really like, in the years before Maria had come onto the scene and he had become a "traitor" and a "foreigner-lover". What had he been before?

"I'm going to show Shinji, at least. Maybe Mom. I don't know how well my dad, or… wow, my grandfather, would take it."
