WHEN: Just after 2-B's **special** cultural festival segment
WHERE: Some hallway without too many people
WHY: Because nobody showed her the script

[The head of the chinchilla costume has been discarded haphazardly on the hallway floor. The rest of the costume, is, along with the person inside of it, curled up and facing the wall, head covered by arms as if it were a tornado drill and she was the only person who knew about it.]

[ Kiriko passes by, having separated herself from Kozue and Reizo, though not from her phone which they are surely at the other end of. She almost doesn't notice Toshimi while she's texting away, but turns to look when she nearly trips over the chinchilla head, pausing to finish her text off, first. ]

"Nawanaka-san?"

[ Well, who else was in a Chinchilla costume 20 minutes ago? ]

"It wasn't that bad, at least the costume kept you dry."

	[Toshi is still for a moment, and then, motion by mechanical motion, turns her head to Kiriko. In addition to the questionable costume she is wearing her fakest fake smile.] "Ikeda-san." 	[ Kiriko shakes her head, leaving a glittery trail in the air behind her. ] "I don't know. I really do not know what is wrong with that girl. I guess she knew it would get to us. Or hoped it would." [She rubs her temples.]

"She probably wasn't thinking...right?" [But she doesn't really sound like she believes this.] "Or maybe that really talkative short girl wrote it. With the..." [She gestures vaguely.] "The ghost."

[She sits up a little straighter, seemingly for the exclusive purpose of slumping back down again.]

"I..."

[She's silent for a long moment.]

"It's not easy."

[ With her foot mounted on the chinchilla head and one hand on her hip she looks a bit like a conqueror from a particularly bizarre painting. ] "A lot of easy things aren't worth it, anyway. 	"I know..." [She regards Kiriko gloomily.] "I thought at first maybe we were the same. But after that one time, you never seemed bothered by it." [She turns her gaze to the floor. Looking Kiriko in the eye while saying this is apparently not doable.] "So we're not alike. You can accept what the world throws at you and I guess I just keep running." [ Kiriko frowns faintly, nudging the chinchilla head to one side. Her hands fold behind her back as she pivots on her heel and leans against the wall, next to where Toshi is sitting. ]

"Well, just because I seemed that way doesn't mean I never..."

[ She glances down at Toshi, looking a little serious in her candidness. ]

"I don't see why you can't stop running."

"Right. I shouldn't have assumed. Sorry." [Empty words, at best.]

"I thought so too. I tried for a while, you know?"

[She traces her finger in circles on the ground.]

"But even then I would just let things happen as they did. My way of not-running was running. Recursion. Everything I do ends up going in a loop. Thought I figured it out..."

[On some level, she seems to have forgotten she is speaking out loud. She looks up and remembers Kiriko is there.]

"Sorry. I shouldn't be talking like this."

She pushes up off the wall and kicks the Chinchilla head gently back in Toshimi's direction. With a wave of her hand, she turns to leave. ] "I'll see you around, Nawanaka-san."
