WHO: Tom, Reizo
WHAT: Tom and Reizo compare war stories
WHERE: A Back Alley
WHEN: Before the Investigations
WHY:

It had been a while since Tom had gotten out and gotten in a fight. A real fight. Not a fancy head god comes out and flashes light at the physical manifestation of someones issues, but a real honest to god, punch them in the face kind of fight. He quickly ran down the list of injuries. Split lip, bruised knuckles, sore jaw, bruised elbow. He knew the others would probably be upset with him, Seiko would be worried sick, if she saw him. Sakuraba-san, Akuba-san, Ikeda-san, and Sonozaki-san would all think he was an idiot. Kondo-chan would probably think think he should take better care of himself. Ito-san would think it was an awesome fight, despite it's lack of suplexes..

But it felt so good.

It was a chance to work off excess frustration from Seiko being in Paradise. There was no obfuscation, no inability to confront or defeat the enemy. Tom knew that these guys deserved every hit they got. And really, people deserving of a savage beating were few and far between. But Seiko would be worried sick if she saw him in this condition, lucky for him the spot in the park where the fight had happened was not only perfect for muggings, but also to relax and see to injuries. It had a bench, it was out of the way, so very few people would see it, and he doubted too many people would stroll past. So he dropped onto the bench, opened his bag and rooted around until he found his first aid kit.

The look Reizo gave Tom suggested he was off his rocker, and he laughed after a moment, drink held aloft, poised for another drink. He shook his head mildly after he was done laughing, and took the drink.

“Me lookin’ worse than you do. Ever. That’s pretty good.”

Still, he knew what he meant, and anyone with eyes could see Reizo was the worse off at the moment. He ran a tongue hesitantly over his busted lip, winced gently, and took in a deep, calming breath. Here in the park you could almost ignore the smell of the city, could almost imagine seeing the stars if you would look up from the verdant green and into the dark of the night sky, but the sound of it never stopped, and if you ever reminded yourself of just where you were the pretty musk of nature the park provided would soon be overridden by the smell of crowds and gasoline again.

“Some rivals caught up with me. Bad luck for me, but worse luck for them,” he explained, smugly. Yeah, he’d gotten the tar kicked out of him, but they hadn’t left him in a heap, he’d sent them off on their way by himself. The back of his head throbbed, remembering the stick one of them had flung at him with surprising aim when he’d sent them crawling away, tails tucked neatly between their legs.

Chicken shits.

“So what about you? Saw someone littering and pulled out the cape?”

"And I assume you were tying girls to rail road tracks before you got jumped." Tom scoffed. "Trying to uphold the law seems like a vast waste of my time."

"I was just out for a walk." He tore open a fresh alcohol wipe for his lip, and dragged it along the open wound. Though never one to waste time on injuries when there were more important matters to be handled, if there was nothing pressing, Tom tried to take care of himself as best he knew how. Despite how many people believed he simply did it to look manly.

As the rubbing alcohol touched the open wound he felt a pain surge along his lip, and then linger well after he had wiped the injury clean.

"I certainly wasn't out here looking for some one to pick a fight with after... recent relationship related... issues." He swung his elbow to make to try and work the pain out of it.
