Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
WHO: Whole School.
WHAT: Oh God.
WHERE: School.
WHEN: After first Idol event.
WHY: ~

As the sun rises and the students of Nanakamado wake up they will see that something is horribly horribly wrong.

Someone has vandalized the school.

However, this is no usual vandalism, students will find their shampoo and conditioner bottles have been filled with glitter glue, as have the soap dispensers in all the bathrooms including the staff ones.

As they emerge from their dorm rooms they will find large smiley face stickers stuck on their doors, along with cuddly animals that have been nailed on. However those Persona Users that live in the dorms will find that nailed onto their doors are perfectly detailed cuddly fluffy versions of their personas and the hugdoll that represents them is tied up in tinsel and suspended from the ceiling in the hall.

When the students finally venture out into the school grounds they will see a huge banner spread across the buildings with the words ‘SMILE TODAY LASTS FOLEVER’ in lime green letters and bad English. Confetti and glitter has been sprinkled across the grounds along with more stickers on every door and window.
Inside the school things get weirder. Half the school has more cuddly toys nailed to the walls, and in some places there is so much glitter on the floor it is knee high and hard to walk through. More banners are put up with cheerful slogans, streamers and cheap sparkly decorations have been hung up in the classrooms and all the books have been replaced with kids fairytales, and childish pictures of animals have been drawn on the boards. Bowls of sweets and mugs of chocolate milk are sat on each desk.

The other half of the school has had all the lightbulbs replaced with dim coloured ones, and the windows have been blacked out. Speakers have been hidden and are constantly looping the first few seconds of Lady Rara’s Awful Affair, stacks of jello shots are piled up on desks, small sequined minidresses and killer heels litter the corridors and a giant discoball has been hung up in the gym. And what seems to be a kissing booth has been set up with a sign saying ‘One kiss FREEEEEEE’.

Those Persona Users that live at home, will find a toy version of their persona nailed to their desk, and their hugdoll hung from the ceiling above their desk with tinsel.

Kiriko arrived looking frazzled. She had apparently managed to avoid getting glitterglue'd, though the rainbow sparkles on her palms informed anyone with a good enough eye to see them that it had been a dangerously close call. She arrived to the closet with Kozue close behind her, a pair of scissors clutched in one hand and her cell phone in the other.

"Sorry - I was - well..." She looked back at Kozue.

From where she was trailing behind her roommate, it was easy to see that Kozue had not been as lucky. Her hair was now in a pony-tail (and she was distinctly out of school uniform, having phoned the office to tell them she was extremely physically ill and would not be coming in), but when she moved?

It sparkled. Sparkle sparkle sparkle. And Kondo looked on the verge of tears. Her eyes were fixed on the scissors in Kiriko's hand.

"I'll-- I'll never talk to you again if you so much as..."

She trailed off, looking around her at the gathering group and the Highly Suspicious Closet.

Toru greeted the two newcomers, as well.

"H-hey... er. This closet here."

The noises were still coming from it, and he didn't really know what to say. "Um... there are noises coming from it. Weird ones. I... don't really want to be the one to have to open it, at least not alone."

Unlike Renju, Masami would be able to fight the Shadow who had done all this(if it was indeed a Shadow), and she would be more than happy to take it all out on the Shadow for the both of them. Thankfully she herself had avoided a glitter glue incident, but it'd be OK to take anger for being forced onstage in that outfit yesterday out on a Shadow, right?

Her train of thought had been following such a line when she heard some sounds through the incessant racket of the music(which Masami hadn't really disliked before, but now definitely did due to association with this whole debacle). Curious, she followed the sound to check it out, and found a number of the team there, gathered around the closet doors.

"Hey, did you all hear the sound too?" she asked those present, wasting no time with formalities.

Yoshimi showed up quickly enough, nervously clutching her hugdoll and the stuffed Persona. She'd been high-tailing it for the exit well before the announcement that the school was closed, and while she'd had no particular desire to keep going after she got the text, turning back to investigate whatever could stand out as particularly suspicious in the middle of Glitter Hell also didn't appeal to her much.

"...I-I'm here."

Kiriko looked at Toru. Then back at Kozue. Then back at Toru. Then the closet. Then Toru again.

It was suspicious. On the other hand, it was a closet. As long as she turned the door the right way, it's not like anything really dangerous could come out, right? Well, not unless someone had glitter-glue'd Reizo's hair and locked him in a closet, in which case there would be a bloodbath, but she was pretty sure it wasn't and the thought was somehow more amusing than threatening anyway.

Kiriko stepped up to the plate and yanked the closet door open.

The closet opened!

What tumbled out was four men tied together with thick glittery rope, also an avalanche of glitter that they had been half buried in.

They were wearing janatorial overalls, they also had large furry bunny heads crammed on their heads, the heads for some reason had huge tophats and monacles.

The men were groaning, but the heads clearly were muffling their speech.

Kiriko looked at the janitors. Then at Toru. Then back at Kozue. Then the mountain of glitter at her feet. Then the janitors again.

She stepped to the closest one and unzipped the back of the bunny head, removing it.

"Uh... You guys okay?"

Kozue's mouth dropped open, but it wasn't much after Kiriko's move that she bent down (getting glitter all over and ugh it would never wash off, good god) to try and de-Bunny Head another of the poor presumably-Janitors. This was... This was getting even more ridiculous, and fast.

Kai had been on his way home, taking the long way in hopes of running into Kouki somewhere (he'd rather not go looking in a first-year classroom, and chances were Kouki was probably playing in a pile of glitter somewhere anyway, he thought) when he came upon a few of his teammates standing around the biggest pile of glitter.

Biggest, because it contained four men, two of which were still wearing Bunny Heads. He frowned, a mix between "What the hell" and "That's bad" and quickly went over.

"Need help?" he asked no one in particular, and set to work freeing someone else from their Bunny Head (the glitter that soon coated his hands, arms, and pantlegs was a necessary evil).

As the bunny heads were removed from the men, they all started coughing, a good deal of glitter had been shoved into the heads.

"Oh God." One of them finally spoke. "Oh God, that was..." He looked around, apparently perplexed to see the glitter and vandalism, not seeming to have seen it before.

"So this must be why we were knocked out..." Another one spoke looking around.

The third shook his head. "I thought they were gonna demolish it, or invade, that person kept talking about...about a tank right?"

Tom's jaw hung open for a moment.

"...Seriously? Seriously?"

Tom continued to stand there dumbstruck. Admitedly, Seiko was the only one during the check in who had expressed enjoyment of how the school had been vandalized. But he really didn't want to believe that, because of something he had done...

He shook his head, and closed his hands tightly into a fist.

"Invade?" Kozue squeaked, alarmed. The part about a tank hit a chord in her memory, and she squinted, trying to remember why she should think a tank important. "... that person?" She asked, while trying to figure out how to get the janitorial staff free of their bonds as well as the excess glitter.

It was, she decided, also very good that she was doing them a favor; being in good with the janitors was never an awful thing.
