Entry tags:kozue, seiko, yoshimi

Who: Seiko, Yoshi and Kozue
What: Slut bonding!
When: Few days after Kozue's Dungeon.
Why: Ice cream.
Where: Kiga Kiga

Coming out of Kozue's dungeon Seiko had become fairly sure of several things, mostly things about Paradise, understanding Kozue, her own issues, but what something far more interesting she had noticed in particular was that Tachibana-san seemed a lot like her. The old her anyway. The fact they had both been in the same boat in that 'Never Have I Ever' game had made her feel a faint bond with the girl, and it meant another person she could talk to without getting the judgement face.

Having arranged to meet up with Yoshimi for ice cream she had realised it was probably something good to involve Kozue in too. She had wanted to visit her friend, but she was sure everyone was doing that, and she didn't want to crowd her. Not only that but she didn't really think Kozue was going to want to spend all her time talking about what had happened in there. But maybe ice cream with two of the least judgemental (by her reckoning) team members might be what she needed.

She'd managed to persuade Kozue to come out fairly easily, with the promise of free ice cream, and they'd gone down together to meet Yoshimi there.

Having found a table she'd left Kozue briefly to get them both a bowl of ice cream as they waited, placing a fancy indulgent sundae in front of Kozue, and sitting down to eat a large bowl of peach sorbet herself.

After a few minutes, Yoshimi entered the shop and bounced up to the counter. If the other girls listened in, they could probably make out her side of a mildly terrifying conversation with the poor cashier.

"How much longer is the hot sauce flavor on the menu for? Oh, wow, just one more week..."

"...well, have you tried hot sauce and chocolate together? So how do you know it's a bad idea?"

"...does it really taste fried and creamy at the same time? I guess there's one way to find out..."

"Oh, and, um, those rainbow sprinkles! On top, yeah."

Eventually, she approached Seiko's table with what appeared to be a fairly normal-looking bowl of ice cream — for anyone who didn't know which colors of ice cream corresponded to which of Kiga Kiga's more creative flavors.

"Hey, thanks for inviting me! Kondo-san, how are you holding up?"

Kozue had been easy to coax out of the dorm half because she seemed to have decided not to resist anything for the time-being, and half because, free ice cream, obviously. She had made an effort to look less disheveled, and it had paid off. Her contacts, however, were still missing; perhaps she was very nervously embarking on a policy of not lying about her eye color anymore. It was such a small thing, after all. And, she had told herself, hovering over the vanity mirror and staring at the plastic case, she needed to start somewhere. Surely she could tackle something this small.

The giant, elaborate sundae had made her smile; now, she looked up, after having taken a few spoonfuls, and nodded to Yoshi. "Hey. What did you get?" She paused to take another bite. "I think I'm probably doing not so awful anymore. Ice cream is definitely making it better."

Seiko had overheard something of Yoshimi's order, and was eyeing Yoshimi's bowl with some aprehension, taking a few mouthfuls of her own peach sorbet and feeling very glad she stuck to conventional flavors.

She kept half an eye on Kozue as they spoke, relaxing a little upon seeing her smile at the giant sundae before her.

"Hey Yoshimi-chan!" She said with a grin, never one to be overly formal. She considered for a moment how to word 'oh so you are one of us' to Yoshimi. Though she herself was far better behaved now, she reminded herself with some reluctance.

"How are you?" She decided to keep it fairly bland to begin with, after all it probably was rude to jump right into the good stuff.

"I got a triple," she answered, looking very excited about this development. "Because I was really craving chocolate today, you know? But the hot sauce flavor's only on the menu for another week, and I didn't want to pass that up, and it seemed like it would go well with the fried chicken flavor. Kind of like Kiko's House of Wings meets ice cream, but I don't think it'll work unless it really tastes like chicken." Yoshimi seemed to believe that the presence or absence of convincing chicken flavoring was going to make or break this sundae.

"I'm a little tired, but with how often we've been going into that place lately, that has to be normal, right?" It certainly had nothing to do with certain other extracurricular activities running her down.

"Other than that, I'm great." Aside from the small matter of not being sure who had managed to pick up on the implications behind her Never Have I Ever confessions. Her eyes darted from Seiko to Kozue and back again, trying to read their expressions and probably making herself look extremely guilty in the process.

And Kozue's response to this was, simply and in a baffled voice, "... hot sauce?"

A pause.

"And fried chicken...?" She shuddered internally, and cast a dubious glance at her own ice cream, as if wondering if somehow it hadn't gotten sort of tainted by being in the same neighborhood as those flavors. She was remembering why she didn't frequent Kiga Kiga, now. She gulped. "Yeah, that's gotta be normal. I mean, it's like... athletics practice and exams kind of all rolled into one." With arguments and oh yeah, life-threatening fighting on the side. Not tiring. Not at all.

Seiko noticing Yoshimi's worried look, gave her an incredibly not-subtle wink and a grin, she had noticed Yoshimi's 'answers' to Never Have I Ever, and besides one or two worries about if Yoshimi was safe she felt like maybe Yoshimi was a lot like a younger her. Kozue was of course already someone she had come to feel like a big sister to, and felt comfortable with, it wasn't like Kozue was ever going to judge anything she had done...

"Don't worry Yoshimi-chan about uh 'stuff'." She grinned in response to the worried and guilty look, "your secret is safe with me." She gave a thumbs up and another wink.

She frowned a bit, should they really be talking about Paradise? Kozue had just come out of there, it probably wasn't good for her to dwell on it, alternately if she needed to talk then that was important too. Seiko was torn, should she change the subject? Or leave it as it was?

Then her mind skipped back a little to the ice cream discussion and something she hadn't quite worked out, "...How do you get fried chicken into ice cream? I mean, its got loads of like, crunchy bits?"
