Entry tags:kanaye, maeko

Who: Maeko, Kanaye
What: Catching up
Where: A wall near a pedestrian crossing near Kanaye's house.
When: post-plot
Why: ???

Maeko was waiting. It wasn't really Kanaye's fault she was waiting. He was likely busy right now and she had just decided on the spot that since she was done with work and Seiko was busy teaching Toru ballet or something she would send him a text message on the chance that he was free.

Hey, probably need to talk. Want to meet up? Am near the crossing near your house.

She checked her phone again despite it only being about 20 seconds since she sent the message, halfway through a convenience store anpan as she sat on the wall waiting.  She was very easily within walking distance of his house but no way was she going there again right now.

Maeko took the offered hand, looking around. "There's bunnies around here somewhere! I saw them with Seiko-chan before, they were really really cute!"

Bunnies? Great. He smiled. "That's great! Let's go find them, then!" He said, moving her along slowly. After finding the bunnies, Kanaye smiled. "These things are adorable! They're really cute!"

Maeko crouched by them, making quiet 'eeeee' sounds at them.

"They're so cute!" She saud after a while, slowly regaining the ability to create sounds that were not 'eeeeee, rabbits'.

"I know. I just wish I could buy one. They're just so adorable..." He smiled. "So fluffy. Maybe you should make a stuffed rabbit? I'd like it!" He said, excitedly, crouching beside her. "So cute..."

"Maybe you could hide one?" Maeko. suggested kind of unhelpfully, deciding to apprehend Misaki and maybe Kai as soon as possible and gain information on making stuffed dolls from them. She stared at the bunnies a little longer and then fidgetted again.

"Hey, what are you going to do once you leave school? Are you still just going to take over the company? Are you going to stay in town?"

"Maybe. Might be worth it..." He said, looking at the bunnies as long as possible before answering the question. "I don't see any other option. What do you plan on doing?"

"I..." She trailed off, staring at the bunnies for a while instead. "If this even all ends, I was looking at colleges in different towns. Maybe even on the mainland. With everything that's happenned here...I don't know. There's not a whole lot left to like. Except the bunnies." She paused and then suddenly stood up.

"Look, do you think I'd make a good teacher?" She finally asked, a little more agressively than she really meant to.
