WHO: Kozue and Keiichi.
WHAT: More cookies.
WHERE: On the beach behind the house. (In front? IDK.)
WHEN: The evening after the Photos thread and fallout.
WHY: Baked goods.

The day had been sort of shot for hanging out or lounging on the beach—normally, Kozue liked being watched, but right now, in the current context, it left a funny feeling in her mouth. So she had spent the afternoon quietly, and now, a bit after dark, had finally emerged onto the beach again.

In the interest of being circum--sneaky, really, Kozue could acknowledge it. In the interest of being sneaky, Kozue had kept her big sunhat on, although it itself was almost as distinctive as her hair. She'd put on a bathing suit, although in the slight chill of the evening she had pulled a wrap dress around herself—it helped with decency and warmth, a double benefit.

Once she hit the sand, she shrugged off her flipflops, and bent down to pick them up, before heading down to the water. Ito should be showing up, momentarily, with the promised cookies.

Maybe, Kozue mused, she should get publicly dumped by her boyfriends more often. Apparently, it got her loads of free sympathy snacks.

ANTI-SQUISH: SECOND THREAD

And so she charged forward, or... "charged" might have been a relative term, for she stumbled and went slowly, following the direction that Keiichi had. No, wait, he hadn't actually pointed, and Kozue stopped short, peering around. "Shit, where is it. I can hear the ocean, sooo... I think it's thattaway."

And she 'charged' forward again, in another direction, chosen at random. "You're not," she added, "in charge of it, 'cause you were drinkin' too and... I'm sorry, what was I saying?"

Keiichi dutifully followed after her in her charging forward.

"Hell if I know, Ko-zuuuu-eh," he slurred, his "following" really more like "staggering." "I think we're going the right way though! I hope!"

This was 'fun!' More of it than he'd had in a while, anyway, staggering after Drunken!Kozue.

Several steps later, and there was sand in front of them, as far as the eye could see.

"You did it!" he exclaimed, running the few feet over to her. What ensued was a half-collapse, half glomp.

"I'm brill-eeeek," she exclaimed, interrupted, as his collapse and tackle hit her, and she staggered and then dropped into the sand, rolling, completely without grace or balance and drunk enough to find it amusing. Delightful, even, because she was giggling like a complete idiot.

"Found it!" More giggling. "I found it! All the sand! Yesss!"

With the only person holding him up hitting the sand, Keiichi followed, and hit the sand hard. Most of his wrestling training on how to fall wasn't really there when he was slightly intoxicated.

"Great!" Keiichi beamed, crawling over to (and slightly on top of) his companion. "Now we just gotta figure out how to get back to the house!"

Feeling the sand grinding into his skin, he sighed. "And take a shower. There's sand everywhere now..."

"It's either that way or that way, oof," she said, as she was slightly crawled over; in a more sober state this might have been a situation that would have given her pause. Certainly, it looked suspicious and pause-worthy. Just now she was concerned because there was sand in her hair. And, as Keiichi had so rightly observed, everywhere.

The concern passed soon enough, and she laughed again. "Well, we're on an island so actually it's both ways, yeah?" She had been looking down the beach; now she turned her head and looked vaguely up-and-inlandways at the hazy silhouette of Keiichi. Her vision was swimming slightly. Naw, she hadn't had that much to drink, had she?

She was right. "Good thing it's an island," he grinned. "We'll get there eventually either way!"

He was slightly less drunk than she was, he figured. Not by much at all, though. Still, he was the first to his feet, and after a few moments to steady himself, he reached a hand down to help her to her feet. "Let's go find it!"

She grabbed his hand, but had to be hauled upwards with some force; this would prompt more giggles, of course. "So what do you like better, leftways or rightways?"

"Rightways it is," Keiichi said, still holding onto her hand as they walked. He might or might not have been swinging it a bit.

Rightways was indeed the way they went, but it was a sort of diagonal rightways that was leading them closer to the water as they went on their merry way towards Kanaye house.

"Rightways has to be right," he reasoned. "It's right there in the name."

If she noticed they were headed for the water, or that Keiichi was swinging her hand, she had no comment. She scuffed her feet through the sand a bit, and her own personal path of walking was a bit of a zig-zag, waterwards and away from the water, on repeat. "That's right, that's right, that's so... see, it's there again, we have to be on the right, right path!"

To be honest, Keiichi had no idea what the Hell she was saying at this point, but he was forging onwards anyway, pulling her with him as he walked. Suddenly, in the distance, a large house came into view.

Was it Kanaye's? Who knew?

"Hooooouse!" Keiichi yelled, beginning his walk towards it.

And she was dragged along, stumbling in the sand and kicking up water as the waves came in and hit her feet. They drenched her shoes, of course, but Kozue only registered it a bit; mildly; "Wo-Oo-Ah!" She yelped, as she was dragged.

And of course, as she was off-balanced, she grabbed on to the nearest thing to try and hold herself up. The nearest thing, of course, happened to be Keiichi.

Usually, he'd be able to support her weight. When his center of gravity was off, however, her hands tugging at his shoulders were enough to unbalance him.

He fell forward, taking her with him, until the two made a somewhat impressive splash in the shallow water, Keiichi lying half on top of her, trying to recover.

"I'm all wet," he observed, frowning a bit, before realizing the obvious benefit. "At least I'm not covered in sand!"
