Mokoto was sitting alone this time in the classroom and looked rather unhappy. The discussions with the teachers, Kei's parents, and Kouchisei's father had not exactly endeared her to the situation. Not only that but there were clues that she found that made her think that a student was behind both matters and that distressed her. How could anyone one do such a thing to their fellow student? It was repugnant not to say the least bit disturbing.

She let out a long sigh as she waited for Satou and Retsu to come in. Both would be interviewed and she wasn't to thrilled at the prospect of grilling either boy. Both were known for their charms.

They had better take this seriously. she thought as she heard the door slide open.

"Enter."

"I offered my services as a volunteer," he said, shaking his head.

Really. This policewoman was annoying.

"Did you at all interact with Sato-san while you were there? Or for that matter did you ever at all speak with anyone in the club outside these meetings?" she asked quietly then added, "I was told that you help out students in tutoring at times, is that correct?"

"No. It was after his disappearance. I also keep to myself most days, and I've really only tutored Shiori-san because she needed help."

"So you never saw Sato-san with Aoi-san? Some girls were telling me that some of the third and second year thought they were a couple." Mokoto said and watched him carefully. "I'm asking you about this as some have seen you in her company. There are those that are starting to think jealousy may have been involved in Sato-san's death and your vanishing."

"Is this an interview or an investigation?"

Kouchisei pushed his chair back and stood up. He didn't show anger - his face was calm and he talked slowly and quietly. "I didn't disappear. I ran away from home. Do you know what it's like, losing a mother? ... You're incompetent. Please do your job and don't bother me again."

He waited to be dismissed.

"Then please tell me where you were during the time you were away, Oubai-san. There are several factors that don't hold here and I'm just trying to make sure that students are protected," Mokoto motioned to the chair. "I"m sorry if I bothered you with the questions, but as I'm sure that your father would agree on this, it's dangerous out there. I've run into situations where young adults like yourself have run away and have not come back. As a matter of fact I did lose a mother, it's something that haunt me to this day. However, it's come from my work that it's natural for young adults to gain the aid in their friends when running away. I'm just trying to get a better understanding of how it was that you managed to keep out of the public eye and where you were staying and who was assiting you in hiding."

Mokot looked at him seiously, "I simply want to find out what happened to Sato-san, Oubai-san. I don't think it's fair for his family to not know what happened to their son, do you?"

"Emotional blackmail is unfair, officer. I am sorry for your loss but it bstrikes me as ridiculous you believe people helped me when I am capable of helping myself."

"Oubai-san, I'm sure you can help yourself just fine. However, it's normal for any person to believe that when a young person your age is involved in running away a good percent of the time someone assists them in their vanishing act. Now I'm not saying that you didn't do most of the work yourself. What I suspect though is that people that are friends with you are covering up their own actions. I'm not going to arrest them, but I need to figure out exactly what is happening here." Mokoto told him honestly.

He sighed. "Hmph. I've told you I do things alone. I am not selfish enough to risk them being harassed by the police force." He almost added 'How hard-headed are you?' but didn't - she was a police officer. "There is no case here. You are wasting your time."

Mokoto took a few more notes, then nodded, "Seems our time is up then. Thank you for your time Oubai-san. It was most helpful."
