Welcome to the ToyLand. Please enjoy your stay Children. *giggle*
Who: EVERYONE and S!Misaki
What: Pre Dungeon Area
When: When they decide to go into the dungeon
Where: Ikebana Club Room
Why: To save Misaki from some sort of cruel death

The song the group hears right now is called Never Ending Story and sung by a woman named Nina Treasker. It's about the Fashion industry and not the song from the Movie. Never Ending Story

When they started out the team of explorers found themselves standing outside in the hallway facing the classroom used for the Ikebana club. Upon opening the door into the room the group finds its self suddenly standing in a large pink and purple back stage of a huge fashion show. No one is back there in the dressing room but there are several dressing stands set up with make-up and decorations to use to decorate their face and hair. These are all lining the right side of the room. On the left there are Lockers for each person with their names attached to it. The lockers are easy to open and simply need their handle turned to the right to open. Inside each is something for each person. These outfits are how Misaki’s seeing them right now.

Ayumu Murata –In his locker he would find a kings cloak and crown as he sees himself as a thespian, along with a skull head for a prop. There’s also a kabuki mask, and a Noa robe depending on who he wants to be. (Meaning he pretends to be others while still growing to be something that he’s not sure of.)

Ishinomori Toru –In his locker he finds basically the exact replica of his online persona in Mastusuri online. But in place of his normal weapons there are game controller weapons. There’s also a mask in there made from all the different game systems that he plays with. (Meaning he plays the games so much that in place of Toru there’s only the image of the gamer instead of the person.)

Kondo Kozue –In her locker there’s a dress like something you would put a fairy in, there’s also a sack in there, as an accessory along with a wand and wings. The dress has thin straps but is very short but it fits largely, like it was cut for a mother rather then Kozue, and thigh high boots. The mask in there is one of those plastic Halloween Barbie masks that you see at the local drug store. (Meaning behind this, Kozue has a pretty mature face but doesn’t cover the fact that she’s still just a child under it.)

Ikeda Kiriko –In her locker is a regal black skirt with a long slit up the legs, a cover bun that’s dark blue, a white dress shirt with a black royal jacket with tails and shoulder decorations with a braid across the chest to look more like a prince. This includes a top hat, gloves and a section to attach her whip to her hip. The mask here is a black elegant one that has a lady effect showing both being masculinity with femininity. (Meaning Misaki sees Kiriko as a prince figure)

Oubai, Kouchisei. – In his locker has a simple dark robe of purple. It’s something a noble lord during the time around the Mejia would wear. There’s also a blank faced mask with his. (Indicating that she’s not sure what to make of him.)

Hayashi Emi –In her locker there’s a dress that would be more suited for a toddler with a baby bonnet and curls to match. There’s also a dummy doll that has a pointed hat and everything on it. The dress is covered in ruffles and designed to look as cute as possible, along with a pair of paten leather shoes. The mask here is of one of those baby dolls with blinking eyes and rosy cheeks. (Indicating that she sees Emi as still a baby in a lot of ways.)

Akuba Maeko –In her locker she finds a lady’s knight uniform made of polished silver. It was clear at one time the armor was gleaming, and had details of strawberries all over it. Now it is rusted and cracking. The armor clearly has seen better days and needs to be cared for. Inside is a broken ax that has been splintered in various ways, and the mask is two faced, one side is happy and cheerful, and the other is mean and vindictive looking. (Indicating the Misaki sees Maeko as being two faced and is no longer worthy to protect anyone.)

Ito Keiichi –In his locker he finds a wrestling uniform that also has a chef motif to it. It’s white and clean, with a red tie around it and a lucador mask to wear over the face. This mask has sliver embroiders on it with various recipes. There’s also a hat for a head chef in there. (Indicating that Misaki sees him as being two things at once.)

Tanaka Yuuto –Inside his locker he will find a uniform for a Buddhist monk along with pray beads and sandals. It’s pretty much modeled after the style that Sanzo from Saiyuki wears. This includes a cigarette to smoke on if he so chooses. The mask is in the design of flowers that seem to blossom all over the place. (The clothing indicates she’s a bit reverent of Yuuto’s skills and his serious nature.)

Tonbo Nayuki –In his locker she has a strange looking old fashion uniform for a bike messenger. It’s designed to be something that would look good around the 1900s. There’s also a small unicycle in there that has a pair of handle bars to hold on to. The uniform seems to fit well, but have a scratchy feel to it. The mask is that of a huge “?” as if to say, ‘Just who is Nayuki really?’ and has no mouth only small slits for eyes. (This is to indicate that she’s just not sure if she really knows the real Nayuki or if he’s just playing around.)

Sonozaki Renju –In her locker is a simple suit set with books for various subjects. This is the sort of clothing that a teacher would wear. There’s also a ruler and a dunce cap there to put on other people. The mask in this locker is painted with a devilishly happy oni like face, as if someone enjoys punishing others. (Indicating Misaki sees Renju as a teacher like person who’s overly strict.)

Sagaki Thomas –In his locker he will discover that there is a child’s sailor uniform with a matching hat and lolly pop. There’s also a black cape in there that normally comes with a child Halloween costume. The mask on the wall is that of a super hero and is also one of those cheap plastic kinds. There are also spy glasses and various dirty magazines in there too. (This is to indicate that Misaki sees him as a child trying to be a super hero and also a voyeur and peeping tom.)

Tachibana Yoshimi –In her locker is a diaper, a set of angel wings, a long red sash that says “Help me make boys Kiss” a yellow wig, and a suction cup bow and arrow set. There’s also a mask in there that has a overly cute cupid face that’s constantly (^.^) (Indicating Misaki sees her as a match maker that over indulges in her own private fantasy.)
Arai Kazuya –In his locker he discovers a well made cardboard robot. The kind you can assemble from a garage kit and make it move. It has a controller and the helmet mask/head, spins around to reveal different faces, only its one face all the time with barely any change to it. On the side it says Property of Ishiomori-san. (Meaning Misaki sees him as a toy for Toru and a robot.)

Sakuraba Masami –In her locker she will find a kamishimo designed to look like the Shinsengumi in style. The mask there in is a noa mask and there’s various looking tea leaf designs on there. There’s also a plastic Katana for her to use. (Meaning Misaki has respect for her but sees her as tea guzzler)

Shirai Reizo –In his locker he finds a puppy dog costume complete with ears and a string trailing poop. It’s one of those fluffy sorts that you can cuddle with, along with a collar and leash for someone to pull on if he acts up. His mask is that of a hyper happy puppy. (Indicating that Misaki sees him as a cute bad puppy dog that’s just playful and needs strong trainer to keep him in line.)

Nawanaka Toshimi –In her locker she finds basically a big cardboard circle that has a perpetual smiley on it. Around it is a revolving sign that says, “Is this the only face that I have? Who am I? I art thou, and thou art I…” The mask here is the same as the huge sign version only it’s more artistic and made to look like a baseball and the face is made out of red seams. (Meaning Misaki thinks that Toshimi is false when she’s always smiling.)

Kanaye Satou –In his locker he finds basically the flashiest dress that could ever be created. There are heels and a boa made of peacock feathers. The mask is also of a white peacock but there is a pink wig there that matches Misaki’s hair down to the smallest details. (The meaning is that he’s a drama queen peacock in her mind and is trying to be like her in a lot of ways to be close to Maeko.)

Kazuya arrived fashionably late to the party. He's that kind guy, after all. However, he certainly didn't *look* like the guy he was three weeks ago. But, he wouldn't have let his appearance or condition stop him from this.

A good moment of time was spent in his quiet entrance merely scanning the area for the people that were about. He was carrying the cardboard robot in his hands, almost caringly so. As if it were a prized possession, and anything but soft treatment would result in its demise.

Perhaps he'd chose to wear his own costume as well, for it seemed that a great deal of him resembled something of a mummy. Roughly wrapped bandages surrounded his head in a cocoon, only letting his lips and left eye, along with the left side of his hair droop free. The rest of it was tightly kept intact by a series of tape, staples and even glue. Clearly the bandage-applier had little idea of the proper procedure, but the mess seemed to be keeping well enough intact. As always, his newsboy's cap was fitted over his head.

What little was visible of his features revealed a tired, frank person. Black lines under his visible eye betrayed hours without sleep, and the distant look within the eye relied a difficult in concentration. However, he managed to stand more or less straightly as he could. The natural, overwhelmingly bulky clothes all neatly wrapped about him.

In a straight tone, he asked the question that seemed the most important. He also adjusted his cap as he did so, almost self-consciously.

"What is going on?"

Kanaye quirked an eyebrow again (he seemed to be doing that a lot lately) at Kaz's voice, but he smiled and turned around anyway.

The smile immediately dropped when he noticed the other boy's condition. What the hell just happened. He tried to look as serious as he could while he was in a dress with a feather boa and a peacock mask. "What the hell happened to you? Did you walk into a door or something?" he asked, hoping the boy knew the other meaning.

Things had gone from bad to worse for Toru. It was bad enough that the costumes were giving him dungeon-PTSD, and that the dungeon was shaping up to be another terrifying one. It was utterly terrible to see the state Kazuya was currently in. Upon noticing the other boy, he made a sort of terrified noise and rushed over to check on him. Well, in a tempered, not-too-obvious way, to avoid fueling the rumors too much.

Upon further examination, it seemed even worse. Whoever had applied the bandages had done a terrible job of it, which left Toru concerned for the other boy's health. Didn't things like that lead to infections?

"We... there are cards over there... Er... one for everyone. W-we have to do something with them in order to progress, I-I think... and um... there are costumes..." He indicated his by tugging at one sleeve. "You could wear yours, I think... er, if it won't hurt you or anything."

He indicated the swath of bandages plastering Kazuya's head. "W-what happened to you, Kazuya-kun? Are you going to be okay like that?"

Kazuya merely stared for a long few moments at the condition Kanaye was in. Well, he really didn't think that answer would provide more than a bundle of questions that would prove even more redundant. So, he slowly (and forcibly, apparently) brought his right hand to reach into his pocket to pull out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. With shaking hands, he managed to select a cancer stick. Of course, it was interrupted by Toru's approach. He knew this had been coming, and he was regretting it. But he attempted to place a smile on his lips, only succeeding in something of a bitter twist of the lips.

"I'm fine. I just had an accident, okay? I fell down the stairs a few nights ago. I've been really clumsy lately." He smoothly flowed the description through, almost as if it had been mechanically recited before.

Afterwards, he went about the troubling and irritating task of actually creating a flame. After about seven or so tries, and intense concentration of forcing his trembling fingers into actually going through the maneuver, a small flame was produced. The end of the cigarette was lip, and placed in the twixt of his lips.

"Sorry. I don't have any painkillers. This is the only relief I can get."

Kiriko noted Kazuya's presence, but did not approach. She watched at a distance with a frown tugging at her mouth. Toru was handling it, correct? But perhaps it would be better to stop staring.

She opted instead to be less obvious about the staring and continued to watch from the corner of her eye.

Kanaye noticed Kaz's hands and how twitchy they were. He noticed how completely BS the lie was. He also noticed that he was in a dress and that there was a psychopathic version of his girlfriend's former best friend who wants to kill them following them everywhere. "Heh. Long ass flight of stairs, then. It had to be, if you were out for three whole weeks." Kanaye said, deadpan.

Kanaye viewed Kaz's attempt to light a ciggarette with pity. "Don't worry about it, most of us are used to smoking."

How do you get that messed up by falling down some stairs? was Toru's first thought. Through increased powers of tact, however, he said nothing of the sort. Hadn't Kiriko said something about Tom saying something about possible abuse? This clearly wasn't the time.

"O-oh, I'm... sorry to hear that... p-please get well soon, in that case," he managed to choke out, still blatantly fretting.

And he so wished to help with the other boy's cigarette, regardless of his opinions on such smoke-spewing, cancer-inducing objects. That little roll of paper, tobacco, and god-knows-what-else was obviously the only solace Kaz had in his current situation, and Toru sure as hell wouldn't wish that away from him. At the same time, it would be an idiotic move to make any blatant gestures towards helping him. It was uncomfortable in several ways to watch.

"I-I understand... it's okay... but if you don't have any medicine, shouldn't you see a doctor or something?"

The cigarette was pulled from his lips, followed by a trail of smoke. If one were to look closely, he was certainly holding it in an awkward manner. Almost as if he couldn't get a full grip on it. Mainly holding it between his thumb and middle finger. A long, tired sigh escaped him. What had he missed in the time he was gone? And why was Kanaye wearing a dress? Had he seriously begun to embrace some kind of pseudo-feminine nature? Disturbing train of thought.

"Yeah. I'll get better soon. It's nothing too serious, and nothing I'd bother any doctor's time with. I've just been taking time off to reciprocate, is all." He seemed to disregard the fact of Toru's concern, and was in fact making a job of not even looking at him. More to the point, he wasn't looking at anybody. He was just blankly staring into some sort of abyss as if the eye could see the answers to life itself.

Maeko's first instinct was to do something.

Well, no. Her first instanct was to ignore the sight as had as she could. Second instinct was sparked by guilt and demanded she do something. Third instant was to tell both of those other instancts to shut up and figure out what to do.

It was unlikely diarama would do much. She edged closer to Kanaye as she tried to come up with something even vaguely helpful to say.

"...I don't think staples are supposed to be in banages. They could scratch you." She said finally. "Maybe if Oubai shows up he could help tie them a little better, I think he's good enough with first aid. Or I could try if you want..."

Well, she had had a lot of practice with tying bandages lately.

Maeko said something? Maeko said something! TIME TO AGREE WITH HER. "Seriously. Staples? That's just asking for an infection." he said, shifting closer to Maeko and holding her hand. "And glue will just end badly for everyone involved. Did you do those yourself?" he asked.

Yoshimi had, of course, noticed Kazuya's absences from school. She'd also gathered, by virtue of the fact that she hadn't been asked to provide any alibis, that the upperclassman probably had not gone on any dates with Toru during said absences, so he wasn't just skipping school because it was school. Still, she'd chalked it up to an out of season cold and moved on, something that she now felt a twinge of guilt over. A twinge of guilt and an independent wave of... sympathy? Nausea? Panic? More guilt? Whatever it was, it tended to accompany visibly injured boys these days, and it wasn't a pleasant feeling.

What, did someone throw him out a window...? He looks absolutely wrecked!

"Arai-senpai?" She jogged up to meet the group, angel wings in tow. "Are you okay? Geez, you look like you..." got hit by a truck. Wait. No. Don't think about that. Just don't think about it. She made an uncomfortable sound, trying very, very hard to put all thoughts of pretty boys and car crashes out of her head.

"...I mean, what happened?"

Tom examined Kaz for a moment. In truth Tom had ended up looking like that on more then one occasion. (Including coming up with odd excuses for it.) Though what Tom had seen at Kaz's house still nagged at him, now was not the time to worry about it.

He walked up to stand by Kaz and looked at the group.

"It's fine. I'm sure if it was anything really worth worrying about, Arai would tell you."

Tom looked at Kaz.

"Wouldn't you?"

Then he turned his attention back to the group.

"If someone uses their persona to heal him it'd be pretty suspicious when he left Paradise. But I do have my first aid kit. Arai can have some of my pain killers, and if you give me five minutes I can probably clean up these bandages."

Tom crossed his arms.

"And then can we go back to dealing with the girl who could at any minute try to kill us/ be killed herself if we stand around gawking?"

"That's correct." He spoke in a simple blunt tone. "I had some help with the bandages, but I don't want to trouble anyone. I'll fix them soon enough. Our primary concern would be Misaki, yes?" He then proceeded to take another draw from the cigarette. It wasn't as relaxing as he might have said it was, or anywhere near something that might have dulled the bitter itching pain that was his face. It was just a recent thing, and while he dreaded the idea of picking up an addiction, it was a method of dealing with the nervousness of approaching everyone like this. What were they really thinking? He couldn't know that. However, he did briefly shift his gaze towards Kanaye and Maeko. Oh, he'd picked up someone new, had he? Holding her hand by the looks of it. How he had somehow come to the state of dress wearing remained a disturbing mystery. But it didn't seem to bother anyone in particular, so he might as well attempt to ignore it. At the very least, Toru was here. He'd wanted to see him for the past few weeks.. His initial reaction, and the one he carried even now were painful and troubling to watch. It was best if everyone just accepted it was the stairs.

Trying extremely hard not to think about the kind of situation that would injure Kaz so, Toru nodded to him.

"R-right, we have to rescue Misaki-san before worrying about other things. She's... i-in mortal peril, so..." Another thing he didn't want to think about. Misaki was the first of the victims to be a close friend of his, barring himself. And if she could end up like this, so could Kanaye or Kazuya.
