A Quiet Place - Dungeon Crawl
Who: Smaeko, Exploration Team

Why: It would probably be nice not to be down a team member

The area they had entered was a small clearing in a forest. It didn’t look real, appearing almost painted. In the centre of the clearing there stood a house. Or something that looked like a house, anyway. It is smaller than some of the taller group members are and appears to be made out of baked goods with sweets stuck onto its sides with icing to resemble windows.

The shadow trembled and fell, the large arms vanishing and the human-shaped thing at its core toppling to the ground.

The shadow returned to its Maeko-looking form, apparently only more furious, glaring up at the group.

"No."

Maeko had taken up the dropped mop and was using it to support herself as she stood. She was trying her best to ignore the face that said mop had her head on top of it.

She has a speech of some form prepared in her head. And it sounded really cool. But as always she managed to mislay it on the way to her mouth and it came out as. "People who look like me have done enough damage."

She shook her head. "What you've said is true. But it's not going to be that way for long. I'm going to change. For real this time. I won't use Misa-chan or anything else as an excuse not to change any more. I don't have to be you forever."

The witch disappeared in a flash of light, leaving Baba Yaga in her place once again. She cackled as she faded out.

Shadow and immediate danger gone, Maeko tossed away to mop because MY OWN HEAD ON A STICK OH GOD and let herself topple again, staring at her hands.

Kanaye immediatly rushed to Maeko, using himself to support her as he stood up. He smiled at her. "Alright Maeko-chan, let's go home." he said happily as he started walking. He tried not to show the fact that he was tired as all hell, and somewhat succeeded.

Maeko's revelations weren't all that shocking, really. Kanaye knew it was a bad thing for him to feel this way, but honestly, the whole controlling dynamic made her much more irresistible to him. He wished it wouldn't, he wished that he could have a normal opinion on who's a good girlfriend...but he didn't.

Misaki had gotten up to rush over to Maeko, but Kanaye had beaten her to the punch. She had stood up to go with them but then felt her foot tap against something that was there on the ground. Looking down she saw the cage, small and delicate. A wave of fear rushed through her and the words that the shadow had said flooded her mind.

Misaki forced them down, and carefully picked up the cage. Without thinking about it she hurried towards the others and went over to Maeko reaching out for her hand. "Do...Do you want me to treat that when we get back Maeko-chan?"

	Maeko flinched and quickly pulled her hand back. Leaning on Kanaye, she shook her head. "It's fine..." She began, her words quickly deteriorating into mumbling. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Misaki paused at this action and felt a shiver run through her body. She swallowed some and nodded, "I...see..." She put on a smile, "Okay Maeko-chan, whatever you say." (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Tom took a step back from the group. He wanted to confirm that there was no further danger. He turned away from the group slightly, and kept an eye out for a few minutes. (Reply to this) (Parent)
