School Trip, Day Two. (THE GREAT OUTDOORS)

Who: EVERYONE (npcs welcome)
What: Hiking, Meeting (Major Arcana Only), Setting up Tents, Cooking, MYSTERY FOOD X, King's Game, Sleepn (Possible bear-wrestling)
Where: IN A WOOD
When: Late May
Why: We like camping.

Aomori-sensei was waiting outside the hotel when everyone was awake, tapping a foot impatiently and looking at his watch. Ishino-sensei seemed somewhat nervous. He'd snapped at her when she'd tried to speak to him. He was always a lot more patient with the students and she'd hoped that finally going on this trip would improve his mood. She shook her head and smiled. It was her fault her colleague had to deal with all the reporters and so she had no right to complain when he was in a mood like this.

Tent arrangements:

Boys
3: Reizo/Toru/Akiyama
3: Kanaye/Yuuto/Kou
4: Gendou/Keiichi/Shin

Girls
3: Toshimi/Maeko/Shiori
3: Kojima/Renju/Mitsuko
4: Kiriko/Emi/Masami
4: Noriko/Misaki/Tori/Kozue

"Let's get him out of here as soon as possible." The expression on Keiichi's face was somewhere between astonished shock and seething, impotent hatred. He couldn't even look at Shirai-san, because the expression on his face would likely be perceived as hostile and Reizo might decide pummeling one guy who's name started with K wasn't enough for one day.

Ito-san walked over to the blonde boy. "We need to go. Now."

"Well, he certainly didn't beat any manners into you. That's a relief." Maeko said, folding her arms. "You shouldn't have been taunting him like that in the first place, idiot. You know what he's like. Now are you going to get up or do I need to call Banno-sensei so the teachers can come carry you?"

She dug around in her bag, producing a clean handkerchief and a bottle of water and holding them out. "You should wash your face if it's cut at all. People'll ask questions if you're too much of a mess."

Kanaye glared at Maeko briefly before accepting what she offered. He dumped the water over his head and washed his face with the handkerchief, wincing at the stinging sensation. Noticing that the cloth was bloodied, he put his hand to his face and, when he took it back, it had blood on it. Dammit! Hope it doesn't scar... he thought before glaring at Maeko. "I'm glad to see you're happy I'm still my old self, Maechan!" he said sarcastically as he smiled bitterly. He nodded to Keiichi and started limping along. He had absolutely nothing wrong with his leg, but he was always one for the dramatic.

While Masami wasn't really much of an outdoors person, she did find walking through the forest by herself enjoyable. It was... quiet and relaxing. A nice change from the general chaos of the class trip.

It also made for a good tea-drinking atmosphere, she decided as she sipped from her travel cup full of green tea that she had made back at camp.

I could get used to nature walks like this, she thought, just before she heard voices not too far away. Curious, she decided to check it out, and it wasn't long before she encountered an unlikely trio: her own classmate, Ito Keiichi, along with two senpais, Akuba Maeko and Satou Kanaye. Immediately apparent was that Kanaye was... in less-than-perfect condition, to say the least.

"...Satou-senpai? What happened? Are you OK?" Masami asked, her slight pause the only hint to her surprise. Well, maybe I could get used to nature walks, but not ones like this... she thought in the back of her mind.

Maeko looked up, they hadn't had time to come up with a reason for Kanaye's state! There was no way blaming Reizo would end well for anyone.

"He fell down." She said, realizing after a second that this didn't explain cuts on the face so well and quickly decided to elaborate. "And he kinda slid on his face. We're taking him to Ishino-sensei now."

Kanaye mentally smiled. Masami was adorable in her Yamato Nadeshiko way, and he already was painted as someone who fell down on their face, so...
"Hey, Masachan! You're pretty! Screw Ishino-sensei, can I just stay with Masachan, Keikun?" he asked, trying to sound like someone who has a concussion. Turning to Keiichi, he continued. "I mean, Ishino's nice, but I don't go for older women. Now, someone like Masachan, Misachan, or Shichan, I'm all for that. Why can't they comfort me instead?"

He was going to die and it was going to be bloody, but it was too easy of a chance to miss out on.

Toshimi had intended to show up to the meeting on time, but before lunch she'd been engaged in conversation by another second year. He'd been talking on and on and Toshimi could not find a polite way to excuse herself. She thought that "I have a meeting with the top secret investigation team I'm a part of" would have been an unwise thing to say, and he hadn't picked up any of the "I need to leave" hints that she'd dropped. So she'd found herself with no choice but to let him run out of things to say and then leave. It'd taken a while, but she finally approached the spot of the meeting.

She saw most of the team, a bloodied Kanaye, a girl from her class (although distinctly not on the investigation team), and heard Maeko explain. Considering who was gathering, she figured that this was probably not the real explanation. "Uh..." She eyed the scene warily, unsure whether or not to involve herself.

Masami didn't quite buy Maeko's... questionable explanation, but it wasn't long before it had completely vanished from her mind, replaced completely by puzzlement over Kanaye's antics.

"Eh...?" Masami trailed off, her mind muddled by what Kanaye was saying. It was indeed true that she had occasionally helped out when other members of the kendo team had gotten injured during practice, but Masami was baffled as to why Kanaye would rather she treated him than Ishino-sensei, who would clearly be able to do a better job.

"Thanks for the complement, Satou-senpai, but I think you would be better off getting treated by Ishino-sensei... I'm not that good with treating injuries..."

For someone like her, it was rather easy for Shiori to be lost in the hustle and bustle of the conversations around her. It was weird to even think of jumping in, and so she kept quiet for the most part. Even when Shirai shoved Satou against the tree, she remained silent for the most part - a soft gasp escaped her lips as she ran over to her fallen senpai. He didn't seem too hurt, aside from the cut, and... oh, was he limping?

"You should see Ishino-sensei if you're hurt, senpai!" Shiori said quietly, worming her way against his side and maneuvering his arm around her shoulder. "You can lean on me and everything, okay? And I'll stay with you the entire time, I promise!"

She smiled, squeezing him gently in a hug.

Kanaye just smiled. He was surrounded by beautiful women, one of which is hugging him at the moment. And Maeko and Keiichi, but no one cares about either of them. And they were both trying to comfort him. He would thank Reizo if he wasn't so damn terrified of him. In fact, he probably would thank Reizo anyway. Bad habit and all. So instead he just turned to Shiori and smiled. "Ohh~? Thanks, Shichan! I really appreciate having you with me, I really do~!" he said as he just leaned into Shiori. Kanaye moment of the day right now: He knew it might get her to drop him, but eh~. He instead just sniffed her hair. "You smell pretty!" he said.

Maeko had no real reason to be as annoyed as she was right now. She didn't even care about Shiori. She grated her teeth and folded her arms rather than saying anything for a few seconds.

"I doubt you need three people to take you to Ishino-sensei. I suppose since Wakanata-san's here I'll excuse myself, then. See you later senpai, Ito-san, Sakuraba-san." She said with a smile, tone overly sweet.

Giggling as she stumbled a bit from him leaning on her, Shiori nevertheless moved into a firmer stance and held onto the material of Satou's shirt just above his wrist. It wouldn't do to have him fall and hurt himself even more, after all.

"You're weird, senpai!" she laughed, nudging his shoulder with her head lightly. "Just tell me when you're ready, alright? And if your leg is bugging you, tell me too! I'll give you a piggy-back ride!"

Of course, the thought of her actually giving him one just made her giggle harder. His long legs would probably be draping onto the ground as she half-carried, half-dragged him back to the camp. He'd be like one of those toy monkeys with the velcro on its palms so it could be wrapped around peoples necks.

Kanaye just laughed with Shiori. See? Even the worst of things have a happy ending. Or a happy part of it, at least. Even if it means that he now has to deal with his face being smashed up and maybe a scar or two, he gets to have physical contact with Shiori. He'll take disfigurement in order to fulfill his fantasies any day. "All right then, let's go!" he said as he started limping along. He most certainly wasn't oogling at her, nosiree.

While the others were laughing things off Misaki had stayed behind with Kiriko towards the rear of the events. She figured that she could check on Kanaye after they had gotten back to the camp and talk to him about what had happened. Not to mention talking to Reizo...how could he have done something like that. It was just barbaric. Even if he was annoyed with Kanaye that didn't mean...

Misaki turned and shouted loudly, "THAT ILL TEMPERTED SIMPLETON!!!!" She turned and kicked the log near her foot, then winced. Oh that wasn't smart at all, but it didn't help her nature right at that moment. "That ...That...twit headed block headed, stubborn, ignoramus! How could he do that to Satou-sempai, and right infront of Renji-sempai as well! What was he thinking! Sure Satou-sempai can be an idiot at times, but he was at least trying to get her to leave. And me inviting her to sit down was to make it seem less suspect! I mean...come on now!!!"

She tried to catch her breath and huffed some, "How in the world are we going to figure things out if we keep acting like this...I don't..." tears slipped down her face. "I don't know what to feel anymore. I just...I hate this! Why did this have to happen in the first place Kiriko-chan? Is this like a punishment for something?"

Kozue had spent the entire meeting-declining-into-brawling sitting on the ground where Misaki had been (until the girl in the glasses had shown up, at least), quiet, with her eyes wide and her face growing slowly whiter and whiter. These people were -- that was -- she'd never seen someone do something like that before, in real life. On TV, sure. And sure, they'd fought in Paradise, but that had been against monsters. Shadows. Whatever they were. Not people hurting other people.

She only really stood up to follow the group after everyone had begun dispersing; when Misaki shouted, though, Kozue jumped a little, startled. "Misaki-chan, are you..." She started to ask, hurt? But though there were tears welling in the pink-haired girl's eyes, Kozue wasn't sure if it was from an ill-chosen kick to a log, or the emotional stress of the short meeting. So instead, after a pause, she finished with, "... okay?" She would have walked closer, but remembered that Misaki had been talking to Kiriko, not her, and kept a few paces away.

Kiriko frowned gravely at Misaki as she walked but found time to quietly reflect that she must have inherited her insults from her more scientifically-inclined relatives. She glanced back to Kozue as she spoke, but was unsure why she was keeping back and so slowed her pace to allow her to catch up.

"A punishment for something...? You could say that..."

Really, she shouldn't have to explain it at all, but it was more that she wasn't sure if it would help that kept her silent. Misaki looked disturbingly anguished - was it better to give her space or try to help her talk through it?
