School Trip, Day Two. (THE GREAT OUTDOORS)

Who: EVERYONE (npcs welcome)
What: Hiking, Meeting (Major Arcana Only), Setting up Tents, Cooking, MYSTERY FOOD X, King's Game, Sleepn (Possible bear-wrestling)
Where: IN A WOOD
When: Late May
Why: We like camping.

Aomori-sensei was waiting outside the hotel when everyone was awake, tapping a foot impatiently and looking at his watch. Ishino-sensei seemed somewhat nervous. He'd snapped at her when she'd tried to speak to him. He was always a lot more patient with the students and she'd hoped that finally going on this trip would improve his mood. She shook her head and smiled. It was her fault her colleague had to deal with all the reporters and so she had no right to complain when he was in a mood like this.

	Kanaye smiled at Aomori as he walked towards the group. "Fashionably so, Aomori-sensei!" he said as he started laughing. Ignoring his inevitable response, he instead started stretching, making sure lots of girls noticed his muscles. They weren't much, but they were something. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Kozue was entirely less than enthusiastic about hiking: climbing around in the woods, getting dirty and covered in leaves, having to wear "practical shoes"? It was all kinds of unpleasantness. And the group of girls she was standing with were giggling, and staring at Satou as he stretched, but she was trying to ignore it without being too obvious about it. She kicked at the dirt: this was going to be a long day.

"How far do we have to walk, again?"

Misaki was on the opposite end of the spectrum for this part of the trip. She liked the idea of being outdoors, not that she was an outdoors kind of person, but it seemed like fun. She'd never been camping, or hiking for that matter -at least until early that morning when she'd gone with Kozue and Kou. It had been rather interesting to say the least, and Misaki had really enjoyed it.

She fixed her skort and checked her shoes to make sure that they would be okay. Hikaru-niisan had said that she would have to wear sturdy shoes when climbing, something she had not thought about until just then, and nodded her head at the gym shoes she had bought. Pulling her hair back, to keep it off her neck, she tied a bow around it and grinned at Kozue.

"Does it really matter? Just as long as we get there and have fun on the way."

Toru probably should've been more self-conscious about his clothing than anything else in this situation. Yes, it was awful for him that he had to go hiking in a large group of people, and yes, he wanted to be back on the bus, possibly curled up under a seat where no teacher could find him, possibly playing on the handheld game console that Reizo had thrown at Gendou earlier, but that really shouldn't have been the issue. Were he an individual more conscious of his appearance, like he aspired to be, he would have been ashamed. Without a school uniform, he was decked out in a most ludicrous outfit, a whirl of dissonant colors, mismatched patterns, and too-large garments, topped off with a large pair of sneakers so brightly shaded that they hurt to look at.

But Toru was worried about the hiking. He crouched by the side of the path, a distinctly unenthusiastic look on his face.

"Do I really need to do this? It still hasn't been long since I got out of the hospital..." he said to nobody in particular.

	Misaki noticed Toru looking rathter upset and walked over to him smiling. She liked his outfit, dispite the odd colors and clearly mismatched patterns, it seemed rather interesting and she thought about how to make it work better. He looked up from his seat and noticed Misaki.

"Oh, hi... I guess we could partner up. Unless there's someone else you'd rather go with, Aoi-chan?" He was aware of the unusual way he addressed her; it was fine to call her Misaki-san online and with the Persona-users, but out here she was Aoi-chan. He hoped he didn't offend her. "Since, you know, you've got lots of friends who'd want to walk with you, right?"

	Misaki glanced around and giggled some, "No, she's with Retsu-sempai. Why are you worried about Maeko-chan, Toru-kun? She's really a nice person she just worries about me a lot." He gave a sigh of relief that was a little more theatrical than necessary. "That's... a relief. Aoi-chan... I... really don't want to get on her bad side. I've seen the way she gets around Kanaye..." He fidgeted, trying not to look too freaked out.

Toru looked down at Misaki for a few seconds before the words registered. "Ah! A-a-aoi-chan... y-y-you? Me? Cute? I'm cute?" He was fairly incomprehensible. This was the exact inverse of what he'd even expect to happen in interactions with other people, after all. He could not mentally compute why she'd said something like that.

"I-I-I-I mean, y-yeah, I'm not all that short, but..."

"Yes, you are cute," Misaki grinned at him then realized she was staring at him a bit to long and quickly looked away flushing. Trying to get her head back...what was she thinking looking at him like that...she motioned to the group that was already starting to leave.

"I guess we better keep up, don't want to fall too far behind," she grabbed his hand in her's. "Always keep a hand on your buddy right?"

	He had no verbal response to Misaki's grabbing of his hand; he simply kept moving. And blushed. Intensely. What was Misaki doing? Was she aware that other hikers were everywhere around them? Was she aware that Maeko would probably cut off his hand she saw it touching his classmate's? He tried not to think too hard about it. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Awkward?" To Misaki it ment three things, one -he was trying to find a polite way to say she was bothering him and that he wanted her to go away, two -He felt weird around her, and that she may have annoyed him, three -He wasn't sure what to make of her at all and was being nice for nice sakes. This didn't help her cofidence any but she tried to ignore it.

"Um...why...why is it awkward..." she let go of his hand and looked at the ground shuffling.

Toru quickly stuffed both hands in his pockets, hyper-conscious of potential axe-wielding Maekos bearing down upon his with murderous intent. Thankfully, there were none forthcoming.

"Aoi-chan... it's one thing to stick close to me so as not to get lost, but it's another thing entirely if you hold my hand..." The blush was from ear to ear now. "P-people might get the wrong idea about the two of us... people like Maeko." Toru really didn't want to offend Misaki, but he didn't know how to state it properly.

	Misaki blushed some realizing why he was so nervous, she looked down embaressed and then smiled looking up. "No worries. I won't let them..." She paused some as she started to walk off, "But you better keep up with me Toru-kun, though I wouldn't really mind it if they did." (Reply to this) (Parent)
