Action Scene: Fred's Funeral
*Set after the funeral service*

The funeral was over.

Many tears were shed for Fred, mostly from Molly. It was hard to believe that Fred was really gone. Seeing him lying in wake, as the final goodbyes were said, the reality of what had happened hit harder than everyone expected.

The rest of the family waited until everyone who attended the funeral had been past the casket before saying their goodbyes. Arthur stood next to Molly, holding her hand tightly as they stood together, just looking at Fred. Wiping the tears away with her free hand, Molly lent over and brushed a lock of hair from Fred’s brow, one last time.

“Goodbye, my son. We will always miss you,” Arthur said softly.

Molly nodded tearfully. “I love you Fred and I miss you so much.”

Finally, the pair walked away, Molly shaking with silent sobs.

In the Great Hall, the attendee’s to Fred’s funeral milled around, talking quietly among themselves. A fairly impressive spread had been set out by the house elves for the post funeral service gathering.

Still shaking, Molly sat quietly in a chair near the front of the Hall.

	Ron tried to avoid coming to the funeral for as long as possible, but he decided to poke his head into the Great Hall. He spotted Bill and his mother hugging near the front row, and he walked over, trying to avoid the gaze of the other people milling around. "Hullo Bill, Mum," he mumbled. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	Bill turned and nodded to his younger sibling. "Ron." He moved out of the way to allow the younger man room to see their mother and left to find his wife in the crowd. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Ginny held onto Molly, burying her face into her shoulder. "Mum," she said as she broke off to cry. The last time she cried was in her first year of Hogwarts and promised herself there after to never cry again, because Harry didn't like crying. But it was okay now because her mum was here and Fred wasn't and shouldn't she cry for her older brother?

"I love you too," she whispered into Molly's dress.
