Action Scene: Padfoot runs from himself only to find the past isn't ever far behind
OOC: NC-17 rated scene contained within. If you are underage, stay away.

Sirius left Lily alone, thinking about all he'd said to her, and wondering if he'd gone round the twist or not. Remus has always been the sane one, the calm, cool and collected one and now, was he actually trying to fill those world weary shoes? Did Harry even need either of them any longer?

Groaning, he rubbed his face and sighed as he looked to the heavens and did the one thing that had always calmed him in the past. He shifted into Padfoot, shaking his fur and turning his nose to the sky. He inhaled the late afternoon scents and looked around the grounds. Taking off at a dash, running full out and hard, he tried to exhaust himself and his mind. Things were so much easier as a dog.

Skidding to a stop and panting, he spotted a figure in the distance. He sniffed the air, snuffling softly as he recognized the scent. He loped closer and changed back, leaning against a tree and breathing heavily as he closed his eyes.

"Come on out, I know you're there."

Sirius kissed Remus's neck and nuzzled his ear. Merlin, he was real, alive and feeling again and it was the best damned thing in the entire world.

Carefully extracting himself from Remus's arms to lie beside him, he pulled Moony close once more and dug for his wand, waving away the evidence of their tryst. "All right there, Moony?"

He closed his eyes and rested his head against Remus's chest, listening to the rabid beating of his heart and smiling in contentment.

"Better than all right," Remus whispered, and it was the truth. He pressed his lips to Sirius's hair and began stroking it softly. "Thank you. For tonight."

He didn't just mean the sex, but was too tired to clarify. He meant the sex for the most part, anyway.

Sirius hummed and shivered slightly as Remus's fingers carded through his hair. "Not only tonight, I hope," he murmured softly. "I meant everything I said, Moony. We'll be there for you for the full moon. I'll talk to James."

"Of course not only for tonight. And I know you did. That... that means a lot to me," Remus moved one of his hands from Sirius's hair to take Sirius's hand, which was resting on his chest. Now that he'd had a moment to come down from the high, reality was slowly trying to poke its ugly head back in. "I don't know what we're going to do after this, Padfoot. But... just know that I love you... more than anything. And I'm so sorry for everything that's happened."
