Action Scene: Padfoot runs from himself only to find the past isn't ever far behind

Sirius left Lily alone, thinking about all he'd said to her, and wondering if he'd gone round the twist or not. Remus has always been the sane one, the calm, cool and collected one and now, was he actually trying to fill those world weary shoes? Did Harry even need either of them any longer?

Groaning, he rubbed his face and sighed as he looked to the heavens and did the one thing that had always calmed him in the past. He shifted into Padfoot, shaking his fur and turning his nose to the sky. He inhaled the late afternoon scents and looked around the grounds. Taking off at a dash, running full out and hard, he tried to exhaust himself and his mind. Things were so much easier as a dog.

Skidding to a stop and panting, he spotted a figure in the distance. He sniffed the air, snuffling softly as he recognized the scent. He loped closer and changed back, leaning against a tree and breathing heavily as he closed his eyes.

"Come on out, I know you're there."

Sirius looked at Harry and nodded. Merlin knew the urge was strong enough right now to drown his own troubles in liquor as well but Remus might need him a bit longer. "Harry, I took the Second Years dorm room if you do need to talk. Come see me anytime." He smiled at him. "Do me a favor and don't Apparate home afterwards. Floo the tower if you need someone to come and get you. I'll make certain your mum doesn't find you."

	Harry laughed. God, he didn't want to have to face any mum, especially his own after this. Although, he doubted he'd come back that night either. He'd just rent out a room somewhere and crash there till morning. "Thanks, Sirius." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
