Action Scene: Padfoot runs from himself only to find the past isn't ever far behind

Sirius left Lily alone, thinking about all he'd said to her, and wondering if he'd gone round the twist or not. Remus has always been the sane one, the calm, cool and collected one and now, was he actually trying to fill those world weary shoes? Did Harry even need either of them any longer?

Groaning, he rubbed his face and sighed as he looked to the heavens and did the one thing that had always calmed him in the past. He shifted into Padfoot, shaking his fur and turning his nose to the sky. He inhaled the late afternoon scents and looked around the grounds. Taking off at a dash, running full out and hard, he tried to exhaust himself and his mind. Things were so much easier as a dog.

Skidding to a stop and panting, he spotted a figure in the distance. He sniffed the air, snuffling softly as he recognized the scent. He loped closer and changed back, leaning against a tree and breathing heavily as he closed his eyes.

"Come on out, I know you're there."

	Sirius's heart clenched as he stared at Remus. "Merlin, Moony... I..." He grabbed the other man, pulling him closer once more and wrapping his arms around him. Sighing, he pressed a kiss to Remus's forehead. "It'll be all right. I'll help you." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	A tear leaked out. Another followed its lead, and Remus knew there was no use in fighting anymore. A shudder ran through him and he pressed his face into Sirius's shoulder, sliding his arms up around Sirius's back and clutching almost desperately at his shoulder blades. "I'm so sorry.
