Lorna was settled on the roof with a mug of cocoa in her hands waiting for Jubilee to do her thing. She'd set one of the cameras trained on the area, so anybody who didn't want to brave the snow and cold could watch from the camera room.

"Okay, they need to hurry the hell up," she said, even the slight green glow around her and Jubilee got brighter, along with the heat she was emanating. "I cannot keep this up forever."

Ororo felt like she hadn't done anything relaxing in days, and the announcement of fireworks was hardly something she was going to ignore. She didn't bother with a coat, but slipped on her boots, grabbing a mug of tea and murmuring to herself at the taste of it as she made her way out of the mansion. The moment she was in the open air, she smiled a little, turning her gaze up as cleared the skies where the display would be.

"Mm." She nodded as if giving herself a small pat on the back for a job well done, took another sip. As smaller fireworks went up, she laughed a bit, lifting up into the air to join the others on the roof, settling comfortably on the other side of Lorna. "And who, might I ask, had this wonderful idea?"

Lorna had to smile as Jubilee shot a few fireworks towards the ice csstles. It really was gorgeous. She'd had to shut down her electromagnetic vision for this, but it was totally worth it.

"That's for the northern lights over ice carnival," she said, casting a look around. Unfortunately, with all the snow, it was hard for her to see their resident Jack Frost even with her magnetic senses on. He blended in too well She hoped Bobby was watching from somewhere, since brightening up everyone's life had been the point.

She had to cheer for the green, then looked over as Ororo joined them. "Group effort," she told her. "Bobs gave me the idea, and Jubes was my willing minion for a cup of cocoa." She offered her cup to their resident weather goddess. "Have some. I swear I didn't give any to Jubilee."

Lorna had dosed the second thermos with a liberal shot of her coveted last bottle of kaulua. Which was what she was drinking.

"Lorshmore's idea, completely," Jubilee volunteered with pleasure, now letting the colors turn into swirls of silver and blue--weather colors, she reasoned. She shot a few into the air, relatively low, but in clear and grateful acknowledgment of Ororo's sky-clearing.

She grinned at the suggestion that she didn't have any cocoa, especially since she had such a bad reputation for hyperactivity. But in this case, it was paying off for everyone.

She was now working in arcs of blue that swirled through the sky like smoke before bursting into showers of sparkle. Making a screwed up face of concentration, she slowly work on a relatively mushy looking but unmistakable rabbit in frosty pink. It hopped clumsily around the playground before leaping into the sky, where it swirled into nothingness and exploded.

Ororo's nails danced lightly against the edge of her own mug in response to Lorna's offer for cocoa, and she smiled in appreciation. "Thanks you though. And I think that with all of this effort Jubilee might actually benefit from a little extra kick. I think we can all tolerate some hyperness if it adds to the show."

She got a little more comfortable as she spoke, brushing a few stray remnants of snow off of her pant legs. "I think we might get most of the house out for this. And did Bobby do all of that?" She peered down at the yard, wondering what else she generally missed in the days she spent trapped in the house all day. "He just keeps outdoing himself, doesn't he."

"She has her own. She's not getting this. You'd kill me, Ro." Lorna smiled at Jubilee, who was really enjoying herself now. "I think she's earned a whole thermos to herself though."

"I was just the mastermind," she grinned as she took another drink of her cocoa. "Bobby was the inspiration and Jubilee is running with it nicely." That's when she realized something.

"Gah, I forgot to tell someone to get Hank. Dammit. Where's Jean-Paui?" When they needed a message sent in a hurry, nobody better than the speedster.

Jubilee had drifted mostly into her own world of concentration; although she'd gotten much more coordinated at aiming and gauging her plasmoids, she still hadn't mastered the "forming intricate shapes" part. She was deeply focused on forming a giant purple octopus that swirled across the sky before exploding into frenzy of twisting and writhing smaller blobs that then burst a few at a time.

She grinned over at Ororo and Lorna as she started to feel it, just a little, "If I get extra cocoa, it's gonna be a fireworkapalooza in these parts."

That said, she took two long sips of her mug, settled it back behind her, leaning against the edge of the thickly folded blanket. The thick, sweet drink immediately soothed her and demolished the sensation of being slightly drained.

For her next display, she waved her hands through the air like a conductor, sending quickly exploding stripes of red and gold arching and coiling around the playground.

"I think I saw Jean-Paul and Kurt just show up over on the barracks." Ororo nodded in that direction with her head as she warmed her fingers against her mug. "Or at least Kurt. I saw some of his signature smoke, and there's someone else with him." She didn't really know what was going on with those two, or three if you counted Bobby, but she reasoned it was none of her business either way.

"So, Juju," Ororo smiled again, looking toward Jubilee. "Are you taking any requests? Colors? Shapes?"

"I think this is awesome already," Lorna told Jubilee. There was a good chance they would attract some zombies, but maybe they'd attract some refugees as well. Either way, it wasn't like their position was hidden by any stretch of the imagination. Which was why it was so well fortified.

Lorna sighed and shook her head. "One of the cameras is recording it. I'll take down a copy to him when I bring him some coffee before I go to bed." It would have been better for Hank to see it in person, but she doubted they could have got him out of the lab twice in one day for frivolous things. No matter how much he would have enjoyed them.

"Yeah," she agreed with Ororo. "I want to see a little pink pig."
