Adelaide was sure that she was not normally this socially awkward, even when playing up the dumb blonde act to its extreme. Apparently though, there was something about Josie that just threw her off her game entirely. "Um, no, after work I go home and work in my garden, and sometimes I watch TV after dinner," she said with a shrug. "Why, what do you do?" It was only after she asked that Adelaide realized she might have just opened the door to a very different kind of conversation, but it was too late to take the words back.
Watching Josie relax back on her made made the blonde think of how strange it was to be having this - or any - conversation while sitting on the floor of her office, but it probably would have been even more strange to suggest that they get up and go somewhere else. Her eyebrows furrowed a little in confusion at the brunette's comment, which seemed like a bit of a non sequitur to her. "Who burns what?" she asked, genuinely curious, her head unconsciously tilting to the side in an imitation of Josie's body language.
