She wouldn't have liked to admit it, but Adelaide was rather taken aback when Josie sat down next to her. Her definition of personal space was a little larger than most people's, she'd discovered since being assigned to Destruction, but she was trying to get over that in an attempt to act more normally. "Um," she mumbled, trying to concentrate on finding an answer to the question she'd been asked. "When I'm sleeping?" The response came out as more of a question than a statement, but she was feeling rather distracted by the woman she was having the conversation with.
One of her pseudo-sisters in Idaho had been rather touchy-feely, on an almost constant basis, and Adelaide had gotten used to that after a while, but even those moments of contact paled in comparison to the feeling of Josie's words on her skin. "Oh," she said, or rather, squeaked. "Well, that's probably my office," she replied with a smile, leaning away just a bit as she spoke to put the smallest bit of space between her and the other woman. She gestured with one hand to the numerous potted plants that lined most of the flat surfaces in the small room. "I like growing things," she said with a tiny shrug, a smile on her face as she reached out to touch the closest one, a hibiscus with flowers that were constantly in bloom, compliments of the blonde's power.
