Had she known she'd caught him off guard with the question, Julie would have felt bad for disturbing the quiet to ask it. As it was, she turned a bit to look at him as he answered, leaning back to rest one elbow in the sand. "That's not so boring," she said, thinking that it ran pretty close along the lines of what she did, though she wasn't much for hiking. "Where do you work?" she asked curiously. It was a small enough island that she was sure she would at least know of whatever it was.
At the questions directed toward her, she nodded a bit. "Yeah, I am. Almost done with junior year now," she answered first. "As for after, I have no idea. There aren't a whole lot of choices here, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. I still have a year to decide." And it wasn't like she was able to go to college somewhere else or anything, though that didn't need to be said.
