[ACTION] Day Seven || Dawn

[ The first thing she had noticed when she had stepped out of the portal was the cold. Not an unbearable chill, but it was certainly. Nothing she had anticipated. Her hood still up, she had managed to save her ears and neck from its sudden nip. But that hadn't erased the shock.

Destiny Islands was supposed to be warm. In fact, it was supposed to be sunny, too. With the whisper of palm leaves and the sweep of the ocean tide quietly murmuring. The ground wasn't solid unless she had dropped in on one of those plank boardwalks, but not even wood had stretched from her feet and beyond.

So, first thing you do when you land somewhere you weren't supposed to? Go back. Or at least that was the plan. Somehow though? Her and plans didn't seem to cooperate lately. But then nothing was ever that easy. And it only got more complicated when some of the citizens had tried to approach her. She had done what anyone else would have in the Organization. Even if she had kinda!abandoned it.

Hide.

Which might explain the strangely clad figure standing atop one of the rooftops, looking down upon the slowly waking city.
]

What is this place...? [ A pause in thought and a shuffle as she adjusted her hood, making sure for the twentieth time that it was secured over her face. ] ...I wonder where Riku could be.

[Day 1 | Action | Night]

[He had managed to keep his temper in check long enough to hate everything about this place. They shove a job at him and ship him into some random apartment like he was some kid stuck in a group home, unwanted roommates included, and he finds out all the money in this duffle is near worthless except for how much he has of it. So he took his bag and made his way outside. Not like sleeping outdoors was something new to him.

Except he isn't sure which of his memories of it are more recent. Not when he still has memories of bloody hands and nails breaking as he dug his way out of his own grave. Not when Talia's face is the last thing he remembers from before...here.

He wanders quietly in the dark, taking in the building, roads, directions, anything that he could learn--use.

He doesn't have time to play here. Someone has to has more answers that what he got earlier.]

{OOC: Feel free to run into him anywhere in the Old Town, Commons, and Three Wards. Jason knows how to get around on foot and he'll be at it all night. Roommates/Neighbors can feel free to talk to him before he leaves the Brown Bear apartments!}

[open/mingle] The Department of Integration

[ The Department of Integration stands at the crest of a hill in the Commons area of town. Outside, a beautiful half-circle building with tinted glass panels and a large neatly-chiseled sign welcoming all new Irides residents with a wide sidewalk leading up to it and a lovely park to its immediate left, where most days many people sit at benches or sprawl out on the cool grass to pour over the information about their new home or fill out the paperwork necessary to begin their new lives. It's an inviting place, with plenty of sun and more than enough shade; with picnic benches and palm trees and today, a pleasant breeze.

Inside, the lobby is cool and welcoming, with actual potted palm trees and smooth stone tile or tasteful taupe carpet and friendly smiles everywhere as employees are quick to recognize 'that look' and herd you off to meet with an adviser. Here is where you will be gently told the facts of Iridesian life, and given your Smartphone, your new address complete with keys (which come with a tiny appropriate animal keychain), and a job assignment -- as soon as you've finished filling out your documentation papers, of course. ]
