She expected the topic change. After all, the offer of information as to where she was staying was really just so that he would know where to find her if necessary. If he ever felt the need to come see her and...
wait.
Grenade launchers?
That sounded... like overkill. Which, given the context of their conversation thus far, was probably her father's way of going so far in the opposite direction of the weepy emotional situation they had been in that there would be no seeing it in the rear-view mirror even if one tried. Harmonia smiled softly as a memory flashed into her mind of her being young, rather young, and him teaching her about blades. No matter what anyone could say, she always knew how to defend herself.
It may have seemed improper given that she was not a goddess of violence. But after the whole debacle involved Alcippe, Ares seemed to want to make sure Harmonia could defend herself. And she looked forward to every moment. It meant she was closer to him, spending time with him and in way... bonding with him.
“I don't know anything other than what I've seen on television.” Harmonia tipped her head to the side slightly and followed up with, “Maybe we should start with something smaller first. Something I can tuck easily out of sight if need be.”
And with those words, everything was alright again. There would be no more tears, no more fears. He loved her, he was proud of her and he was going to help her acclimate in his own way.
