Open Doors [ tag: Nergal ] [31 Jul 2008|07:19am]
When Nanshe didn't return to their London flat, Harmonia thought that perhaps she was in Delhi. It had been one of her more cherished residences, Balance blissfully unaware of any emotional ties her dear Sumerian friend may have had to cut with it. What Harmonia knew was that she needed to and wanted to talk to her. Wanted some sort of opinion on what her new course of action should be now. She'd then gone to Delhi, but found it curiously abandoned by the goddess. No sign of Nanshe, no one had seen her recently.

That was not a comforting sign. It meant that perhaps Nanshe had gone into Concept for some reason and wasn't coming out. Why wouldn't she tell her best of friends what was wrong if she needed time away. Was it because Harmonia was so often down herself that Nanshe didn't want to burden her? It would be like Nanshe, always so sweet and considerate, to think of something like that.

It led Balance back to the London flat. The one she thought no one knew about other than herself and Nanshe. Whether or not any of Nanshe's family knew of it's location, Harmonia didn't know. She had only stayed there with Nanshe for about a year or so, and then part time at that. It was where they had lived together, where Nanshe had helped her heal and acclimate into the modern world. It had been a comfortable and safe place and for a time, it seemed like it might have been one of Nanshe's only homes.

Not in the greatest of neighborhoods, it was surrounded by those Nanshe tried to help. The sick, the orphaned the widowed and the poor. It was close to the neighborhood where they had tried to distribute winter goods to the poor: jackets, hats, scarves, mittens... only to be arrested in the end.

Arrested. )
