Making true on his promise to himself, Bragi was deeply immersed in filling in the skald's lost tales. To this end, he'd taken a trip to Germany, visiting various small villages and farming communities to see what tales still traveled by word of mouth. The versions of the original stories told by the Germanic tribes had been slightly different to begin with from those of their later Scandanavian counterparts, and he was finding the whole experience highly enlightening. To his joy, far less had been lost than he originally thought, though the task before him was still a daunting one.
For the most part, the people of Germany were still a friendly bunch, especially in the more outlying areas. They had graciously opened their homes to him, willingly sharing their tales with the "historian", who was more than willing himself to listen to them talk for hours on end, sharing mugs of pilsner and plates of cakes.

As much as Persephone loved her mother, if she had to sit one more minute under the older woman's watchful eye and rather nagging-ish voice, she was probably going to choke her. No matter her ranking in the Underworld as QUEEN, she would always be her mother's little girl. It was a sentiment she felt was warming to her heart, but at the moment she just needed the space. Space was good. It had actually been quite a while since she'd wandered the grounds of Olympus. She usually stayed to her mother's temple or clung to her mother's side, but things had changed. The loathing for Zeus that welled in the pit of her stomach was still there. She still hadn't forgiven him, but she had heard. She had heard that her sister had returned. Even if they hadn't seen each other in so long or spent time playing as they had when she was little, she needed to see her. Needed to make sure it was true. Hades had relayed the event to her. She should have visited Athena as well, after she'd done what she had for her, but she hadn't the time. How long had she been above and hadn't paid a call to either. ( It was simply bad form on her part. ) |
