Home coming [Artemis] |

At first, Athena's steps were as tentative as her desire to return but the thought of the war being done and gone, without Ares or Enyo's participation - there were too many questions lying around without answers that bothered her. She shielded her eyes from the glare of sunlight as she stepped out of concept at the juncture in the cobblestone pathway between temples.
From a distance, she could make out the silhouette of her father's temple against the skies as a mixed knot of sadness, hurt, anger and perhaps even loathing rose but then quelled as she quickly turned her back towards sihoulette and stalked away.
Her breaths came in tight puffs as she pulled to a stop before a temple and leaning her forehead against the cool metal grate. Athena swallowed deeply as her hand reached up to touch the healing wound - easing the ghostly ache that seemed like a nightmare that constantly haunted her.
Out of the edge of her consciousness, a familiar presence lurked like a beacon. She released a small gasp in surprise as she pulled herself away from the gates as she walked towards the divine presence. Athena stopped short of the gates as she reached up but then pulled back from the door - a sense of guilt momentarily overwhelming the sense of joy to know that Artemis was back.
She struggled by herself for a moment before raising her head and called.
"Artemis, is that you?"
