Troubles [tag: Nanshe] [29 May 2008|09:12am]
He hadn't come for her.

No matter what wisdom had been shared by Isis. No matter the truth of the matter that gods tended to disappear for months at a time, Harmonia couldn't shake the thought that Tyr hadn't come to her as she asked him to. As she wanted him to. As she needed him to. It hurt, it stung and again she was left wondering as she did when Neikos left her, if she wasn't worthy of proper affections. If she wasn't worthy of finding love. It was a horrible way to let her mind go, and she knew she didn't want to fall into too deep a sadness, a depression, but right now ... right now she needed to heal, to let it go. And healing sometimes required a degree of sadness.

She could always like him from afar, right? )

Rain Check (tag: Zelos) [29 May 2008|07:48pm]
Apate stood in her living room, mind whirling from all she’d learned and experienced since the last time she’d been in this very same spot. Everything had changed. Everything. And the home that had once felt like a haven with it’s cool, crisp interior now felt somehow empty. Something was missing. Or perhaps something had never been there, and she was only now noticing.

Whatever it was, her home needed something. She wasn’t sure what, but something had to change. After her conversation with Ereshkigal, Apate felt that if she thought there was something missing then she should do something to fix that. The Sumerian had said she needed to find who she was, that it was alright to question and didn’t make her any less strong. She needed to find who she knew herself to be in her heart.

And herself said that there was something wrong with a room that was entirely beige and pine. )

Should I Stay or Should I Go? (tag: Iris & Pothos) [29 May 2008|07:59pm]
Lottie didn’t know what she was doing here. Okay, yes, she did. She was here to see Pothos. She just didn’t know why. No, that wasn’t true either, she knew why. Because she’d promised Iris. Except that wasn’t the whole truth. There was more to it, a lot more, and most of it had to do with the erote himself.

The silent argument going on inside her head was on the third round of question and answer and she was still no closer to knocking on the door. Instead, she was shaking her head, nodding, and muttering to herself. She must look like a total moron to anybody walking by. And for the fifth time, she turned around to leave. For the fifth time, she stopped herself and remained standing in front of the door.

This was ridiculous. )

Brothers and Ex-Brothers [ open to Perses ] [29 May 2008|10:56pm]
She'd walked all the way to the steps of Zeus' temple before she stopped herself. Her feet froze on the grass, her hands curled up into tight, little fists. The air on Olympus was quiet, which meant that either Zeus was not here or for once, the Olympians were breathing Peace. It seemed wrong, somehow, that Peace should sit so happily here when her brother had been so brutally attacked. Everyone noticed when the Erotes were struck down. How could it be that no one saw what happened to the Sun? They all took Helios' eyes for granted!

They take everything for granted.

Eos looked up the marble steps before she turned her back on them. The righteous anger that held her shoulders so tightly was stuffed down and she slumped into a more natural posture. Talking to the King of the Gods wasn't an option for her, was it? No matter how much she wanted him to go out and avenge Helios, demanding vengence from Zeus was a bad idea. The last time she asked for something, Zeus had purposely been cruel. And she'd asked so nicely too. What would he do if she walked up and punched him in his stupid nose first? He'd notice that, wouldn't he?! Then he'd smite her, most likely.

After all that time of trying to find her anger, Eos held it in her hand and realized that it was just as dangerous as she thought. What room was there for a Titan's anger? What would she do, take the Dawn from them all? Hide in a cave like that Japanese goddess? Helios was friends with her...Ama...tiramisu?

It wasn't important. She couldn't walk up those marble steps. She couldn't do much of anything beyond what she already had done--bury Helios' pegasus and take care of the others. Clean up Rhodes. Tend his chariot. She felt so very useless and she was angry about that too. Without a second glance to the King's temple, Eos walked away.

There was no true plan as to where she should walk. She wasn't even sure which of the temples she was near when she spotted him. His broad shoulders were something out of a memory. The way he walked was familiar. The man paused underneath a tree. From a distance, Eos could tell he had dark hair; her Astraios had light colored hair, but stood in a similar way when he was waiting somewhere. Usually for her. She realized, when she got close enough, that she was looking at Perses.

What should she say? It was difficult, considering how the Titan War had gone and which side Helios had gone to. Eos remembered this god from when she was very young. She remembered Asteria as well. She was never particularly close with either of them, but she knew them because Astraios' brothers had been important to him. Eos had been part of that family. So when she stopped at Perses' side, peering up at his profile with extreme curiosity, she gave him her very best smile. It didn't matter that she wasn't in a smiling mood. Eos had to give him something.

"Hello," she said. "It's been a very long time since I last saw you, Perses."
