Brothers In Arms [Tag to Hedylogos] [24 May 2008|10:06am]
Venice...

Things had gotten far worse than Eros could have imagined. His hatred for Moros grew even more than it had after he'd killed him and Anteros, sending them to concept. To attack Erotes and their friends, and in Hedylogos' own home, it was vile. A touch of guilt filled him. He should have been there; seen to it that his brothers, sister and friends were not harmed as they had been.

His servants were keen and filled him in on the details they knew. He didn't want to know how or where they got their information.

Pothos was still recovering; Peitho was nowhere to be found. Eros would have to find them soon than later and make sure they're okay. Aphrodite wanted to be alone. He could sense that as if he was feeling it himself. Or at least she didn't want to have them around. He would have to find her that much was for certain.

Eros came back to his place in Venice and made sure things were in order, wanting to be comforting and inviting before he called to Hedylogos. He first thought to go see him in Paris, but that thought was immediately squashed. The incident had happened there. Eros wasn't even sure Hedy was staying there at present, or even going to stay there again. He moved outside, standing on the balcony and looking over the canal there.

"Hedylogos, your brother calls you to his home, and asks for the pleasure of your company."

Don't Bother With a Memo, Just Fill Me In [tag: Eir] [24 May 2008|10:40am]
If there was one good thing that came out of her meeting with Athena, it was the realization that it had been far too long since she had been in contact with any of her Valkyries. The fact that she had been rather out of touch with her War aspect was actually a good sign; it meant that her people were enjoying a time of relative peace. There were certainly those who followed their traditions that were engaged in battle elsewhere, but the lack of numbers had required little interference on her part. She tended to get more involved when the fighting was closer to the northern territories of their ancestors, and that really hadn't happened since the middle of the last century.

For someone like Freyja, someone who had already lived what seemed like an eternity, the second Great War felt like it had happened only yesterday. The repercussions were still being felt from Hitler's self-glorifying plan, and people still remembered far too vividly the horrors of the time. There were still mortals walking through Midgard that could personally remember the affects on their families, and themselves. It would take a couple more generations for that to begin fade to nothing more than old movies and history books. When that began to happen, Freyja was willing to bet she would be in demand for those particular services again. Mortals tended to forget, and with forgetfulness came mistakes. They never really learned.
