It had been a while since he'd gotten to see her last. Something that he didn't let happen very often. Bast was a special part of his life, and he didn't really like having great spaces of time pass between them.
The fact that he hadn't seen her at all since the night they'd been out dancing was starting to not sit very well with him. Especially since they hadn't actually been able to sit down and chat together that night. When was the last time they had?
Anansi didn't waste any time seeking her out. Once his mind had been made up that he needed to see her, there wasn't anything he could do to convince himself otherwise. Not that he wanted to, of course. Bast was his favorite person on the planet. On any planet. In any universe. He was attracted to her and her trouble like a magnet.
"Here kitty kitty." He said with a teasing smile on his face as he moved through the world. Spying through the eyes of every spider alive. Looking for her in all the places that he thought she might be, and some places he thought she would never be - which made it all the more fun. She'd only be in those places if she knew he was looking for her. A bit of a game of her own. Things were always more fun when she countered his games with hers.
Not hesitating when he found her, Anansi curled up around her from behind, wrapping his arms around her waist, kissing her lightly under her ear.
