After he was done with Bast and Isis, there was little enough for him to do. Gwydyon though about going to settle things with Apollo. He even very briefly considered going to Apollo and settling that score while the chance presented itself. Only his attempts to settle the score lately hadn't gone extremely well. In fact, if anything he'd antagonized Set even further. Made it even more unlikely that he could settle his issues with Set and avoid a confrontation of any kind. There was a time that Gwydyon would have avoided such a confrontation and chosen to do something else with his time. Maybe even tried to make peace with Set no matter what. After all, you could do worse for a friend than the Egyptian god of Chaos, couldn't you? Maybe he should go apologize.

The key was where it always was, which was a relief. If Sekhmet had moved it since the last time Bast had been to her house, then she would have had to break in. Not that she couldn’t, but neighbors could be nosey, and unlocking the door and walking in was much simpler. Either would accomplish her goal, but she was glad when her fingers touched the cool metal against the smooth marble. Withdrawing her hand from the mouth of the lion statue that guarded the front walk, Bast smiled to herself. This was a good plan, if she did say so herself.
