Persephone had given him the go-ahead. That didn't make this task any less daunting. Or dire. The members of the Underworld who did not wish to fight, for whatever reason, could go to India and find safe haven there. So sayeth the Queen.
Now all he had to do was tell everyone that.
Dream couldn't just get into everyone's heads, either. That was an abuse of power he couldn't stomach, even if he would joke about such things in passing. Uh-uh. There would be no dream woven for all the dark gods and goddesses. Not unless they started dreaming of war on their own. Then Morpheus would nudge them in that direction.
He thought about standing in the exact center of the Underworld with a megaphone. He really did. In the end, though, Morpheus decided that was not the way to go, as he preferred his insides kept actually on the inside.
