"You don't give Fatima enough credit, dear. She loves you all, and will hardly think it's a chore to prepare for Nubie's return. Haven't you figured out by now that she thinks of you all as her children, too?" She paused for a moment, then continued with a nod. "You are right though, she may very well 'huff and puff', just to put on a show."
Isis didn't think twice about the fact that her son had gone to visit Bast first. They were always close, closer even than they were with Horus. It was something that often left her a touch sad, even though she knew they loved their brother. He was just a little more difficult to deal with, not to mention that they had resided in his shadow of importance and the need to protect him when they were younger.
Her two adopted children, on the other hand, defied the old adage of "fighting like cats and dogs". While they'd certainly had their moments when they were younger, the love she shared with all of them must have worn off at some point, since they learned to eventually share that with each other.
"I hope you didn't exhaust him too much! I'd like to think he'd be able to be on his way. To think, he could be here any minute!" She was delighted and relieved to hear he was doing so well. She worried far too much about him when he was away.
