Being a cop was weird, but he enjoyed it. It was just different to actually have to demand respect from people then to be, well, Jason Stackhouse and be the lovable loser that everyone coveted. Tonight he was asked to do a little patrolling himself which was fine, he would just have to wait to go out and get a little drunk. He still had a bitter taste in his mouth about what happened with Benedict but he was continually told not to worry about it and as of now, he was doing his best to do that. The women didn't seem to be helping as much as they used to but he still tried to use them when he could. That's all it was to him now though, a way to make himself feel a bit better which never lasted long but it was better then simply drinking and feeling like a fuck-up all night long.

"The hell?" He muttered as he pulled his car over to the side of the road. There was someone there, and they looked dead. He rose an eyebrow slightly and went to call it in before chuckling lightly, kicking the object in the head. "It's just a damn maniquinn." He reported in before sliding it back into the holster, just in time to feel something against his back. It felt like a gun. "Wooow.....Woooow..." he started and his hands slowly came up.

"Dude, he's got a gun!" Jason heard that from behind him and grimaced, mouthing a few more curse words as he shook his head slowly, "I'll throw it out guys, just don't...." He went to reach for his pistol but only to take it out and toss it away. But before he could even get a hand around it there was the sound of a gunshot and he felt it rip through his torso. His eyes closed at the searing pain and he fell to a knee. He didn't scream, or fight it but just tried to cope with the fact that he got shot. The guys were quick to pull out his wallet and ran off into the night. He faintly heard a truck start from behind the trees and drive off but he couldn't muster anything more then to crawl to his car, and lean against it. The bastards even managed to shoot through his radio, so he knew trying to even call for help was out of the picture.

He had very little time, and nothing that he could think of doing. Maybe shooting the gun in the air... but that would require moving his arm and he wasn't quite sure he could manage that either.....

Jessica was glad that Jason didn't seem too grossed out by her eating. The only other human she had felt comfortable around like that was Hoyt. The way Arlene always looked at her it was like she was draining a newborn baby or something.

She smiled gratefully when he said he'd stay. She was more relieved than she'd thought she'd be. She just couldn't deal with an empty house again. Not again. As much as she complained about his rules, she really wanted Bill to come home. Though Bill probably wouldn't approve too much of a shirtless Jason Stackhouse keeping her company, Jessica could think of worse ways to spend the night.

"I think we've got some beer in the fridge still, from the last time Hoyt was here." She paused a little at his name, but moved on. "You're welcome to it. It ain't exactly like Bill or I are going to touch it."

She looked at the floor shyly, before looking back up at Jason. "I'd like that. Talkin', I mean. Not too many people in this town want to get to know a vampire."

Jessica jumped about a foot in the air when Jason swatted her ass on the way by. She turned, eyes wide, no idea what to say. "It's...it's fine," she managed to get out eventually, embarrassed, if not entirely displeased, by the turn of events. "Don't worry about it."

She stood for a moment, watching him walk up the stairs, before heading to the bathroom. Between seeing him shirtless and him swatting her butt, she knew what thoughts would be occupying her mind while she showered.

Jason would have either been home alone, having to deal with Hoyt, or going to the bar tonight to get some ass. Honestly hanging out with one of Sookie's friends seemed like a better idea then all of those after having to deal with his mortality like he had. Plus Jess seemed pretty cool so maybe it would be a decent night, regardless.

"Awesome. Thank you!" He didn't really think about it but he had really tried to stay out of that whole situation with Hoyt. He really wasn't the most relationally oriented person anyway and had likely been the reason many of them had broken up after a woman finally got pleased and it wasn't by their man. "I'll take whatever ya got left." He and Hoyt seemed to drink the same stuff anyway so it wouldn't be a big deal to him.

Jason shrugged slightly, "My sister likes ya, least I can do is try t' get to know one of her friends." Plus she saved his life, certainly a reason to learn more about her in his book.

There real wasn't anything else to say about the little tap of the butt so he nodded at her, and would let her go to take her shower. She had herself a firm bum on her though ... he wasn't going to deny that. He closed his eyes and a few flashed images of her getting undressed as she moved into the shower came through his mind and he slowly opened them, just figuring he was being his usual perverted self. "God, she's gotta have a nice body on'r." He muttered as he got up to Bill's room and started to look for a few new items to wear.

He found a robe, and a pair of pants, he wouldn't worry about changing until he got his turn in the shower though, that would sort of defeat the purpose. So after getting the change of clothes he jogged back down to the living room to wait for Jessica and get himself a beer. There was always time for beer.

Jessica turned on the shower and stared at herself in the mirror as she waited for the water to heat up. There were a few smears of blood on her face, and some dried into her hair.

She frowned as she looked down at her clothes. There was definitely not going to be any salvaging them. It was too bad, really. It was one of the outfits Bill had gotten her, and she was actually rather fond of it.

The bathroom began to fill with steam and she peeled off her clothes, shoving them into a corner to deal with later, before stepping into the shower. She let out a sign of relief as the water ran over her. She thought about the night's turn of events. It was comforting to know that she could help people as a vampire, rather than just hurt them. And Jason Stackhouse seemed like a pretty good guy, even if he had been involved with that stupid Fellowship of the Sun. She was glad that she'd been able to help me.

She could have stayed in the shower forever, but she didn't want to take up all the hot water. So, as soon she she watched the last of the blood swirl down the drain, she reluctantly turned off the water.

Jessica wrapped herself in a robe, cinching the belt tightly around her waist. Even if was a shorter shower than she would have liked, it still felt good. She quickly towel dried her hair and got out a clean one for Jason to use.

She padded barefoot back into the kitchen. "All yours," she said to Jason with a smile. "There are clean towels on the rack." She went to the fridge and opened another bottle of Tru Blood, popping it in the microwave.

Jason had drank a couple of beers while she was in the shower, and of course there were plenty of dirty images running through his mind about how she'd look good washing up her breasts and if she needed help getting along her back. But he continually tossed that at himself just being a horrible pervert and being excited to be alive. It wasn't all about her, was it?

Although if he stopped to think about it, she was an incredibly attractive woman but possibly not his type in the fact that he couldn't see her being too 'freaky' in the bedroom. Sure he had heard a story or two from Hoyt but it sounded boring. 'Oh missionary, oh yes, oh I'm so big.' eyeroll, snore snore. He didn't believe that Hoyt was packing more than he was, and the stories themselves just made him nearly fall asleep. That boy, was pretty damn boring in the sack. No wonder she left him.

His eyes perked up as she came in and he bit his lip lightly at the image before trying to gather hit wits about him. "You stay like that all night an' I may come over more." he smirked as he got up with a couple of Bill's clothes in his hand as he walked by her towards the bathroom for his turn.

"Thanks sweetheart." He offered before moving towards the bathroom itself and tossing off his jeans and throwing them away as well. He'd have to wear something of Bill's home, but he had so many worn in jeans that it wasn't going to be that big of a problem. There was a notion to 'take care of himself' in the shower but he'd refrain from that. The last thing he needed was to let out a pleasure moan or something and freak out the poor girl that was doing so much to help him out.

Although the wording of 'All yours' continued to ring in his ear and anytime his eyes closed he had a smoldering image of Jessica claiming that same thing but in much more provocative natures. His shower wasn't too long either as he just made sure to wash his hair and get his entire body before heading out after drying off and wrapping himself in a robe.

His face was still dripping slightly with water as he looked towards her, "I've ... You..." He could have swore that he heard some of those words from outside the door but he shook it off slightly, "I'm sorry I've been havin' some weird thoughts since you saved me." He added with a light chuckle, looking down and noticing the belt not even tied yet but at least he had put on the pajama pants that he planned to wear to bed so it was only giving off a show of his chest still, nothing she hadn't seen already. "I mean I took V before, so know there's some sexuality that comes wit' it ... but um... I've never had it targeted at anyone in general, and it is now ... if you catch my drift." He didn't want to tell her about his thoughts completely, but was hoping that she'd be able to figure it out with his horrible context clues.

Jessica colored slightly at Jason's flirting. She tried to tell herself that it didn't mean anything. Everyone in Bon Temps knew that Jason Stackhouse would flirt with any remotely pretty female. But she still found herself enjoying it.

As she sat, sipping at her True Blood, she could hear the shower running. She tried not to picture what Jason looked like showering. He was Sookie's brother and Hoyt's friend and she didn't even really know him.

Putting those thoughts from her head was a little harder when he came back into the kitchen, dripping with water, his robe partially open.

Her eyes went wide when he mentioned he had been having weird thoughts about her. Oh god, she had heard Bill talking about it with Sookie after she had some of Eric's blood. She had forgotten about it completely.

"Oh god!" She covered her face with her hands, embarrassed. "I'm sorry. It happens when a human drinks from a vampire. There's this whole blood bond thing...I don't really know how it works, but yeah, this is my fault."
