Dear Mun is actually the brainchild of the wonderful canadabear at LJ, and is replicated here at IJ with her permission.
Are you a puppet in need of a sounding board to persuade your mun to do -- or not do -- something? Need a place to thank a kind and generous mun or perhaps instead to vent your rage at the plans for you they have in the works? Of course, we can't be held responsible for any repercussions that might ensue from your negotiations with them. Then again, you won't know if they can be swayed if you don't at least ask!
Some rules, which are based on the original community:
1. We're all here to have fun with the Fourth Wall and a dose of meta, and OOC flaming or harassment is simply not tolerated here. Likewise, dear_mun is not a venue for critiquing a character and/or how that character is played. Please take such discussion to personal journals, e-mail, or IM.
2. All pups, with the exception of living, real people, are welcome. Original characters, Fandom characters, AU versions of characters. There is no application process. As long as you follow these rules, you are welcome here.
3. In ALL cases, the original post to the asylum should be made from a character's/puppet's/pup's journal and not a mun's.
4. Generally speaking, dear_mun is like Vegas. In most all instances, what happens in dear_mun stays in dear_mun unless the players involved have all agreed to treat it otherwise. Likewise, knowledge gained in dear_mun is considered OOC and it would be bad form to use it ICly.
5. Long posts should use a cut tag (please see this entry in the InsaneJournal FAQ for more information on this and other IJ-specific tags) to spare friends lists.
6. Text or image-explicit posts should also use a cut tag, and have appropriate warnings for content (ie, if you wouldn't want a child/coworker/etc. see it, generally material that would be rate R or NC-17). Most use the abbreviation NSFW (not safe for work) in the subject line.
7. Referencing what RP you're in or the post is relevant to (and hey, who your mun is too!) is welcomed and encouraged.
