Who: Lucius Malfoy and [OPEN TO SLYTHERIN COMMON ROOM]
When: Wednesday Evening
Where: Slytherin Common Room
What: The Head Boy tries to get a fire started
It had been a harrowing trip with the group of mostly Slytherin students through the dimly lit dungeon halls back to the Slytherin common room. They were lucky the doors weren't impassable. They'd be a good deal less secure this week though. Lucius could only imagine the use He had for this bedlam or how it served the Cause that wizards be without magic like swine or less.
But they would have to make due until the storm passed--physically and metaphorically. Some of them--His Elect--were not without some tricks.
Tricks which were unfortunately not accessible in an official capacity.
As Head Boy, Lucius had wasted little time upon his return in setting to the task of micromanagement. Census of who was present or absent, any injuries, any minutia he truly didn't care for but were appropriate at this time. It would not be said that Lucius Malfoy was a negligent student leader.
But the dungeons, subterranean and so close to the murky lake were dark, and damp, and cold as a grave. The ominous note accompanying Professor Kent's candles made some Slytherins hesitant to risk their safety with the muggle artefacts, and the only other alternative was the large fireplace in the common room.
Lucius Malfoy stood there, staring at the dormant fireplace. He had never particularly thought of, nor cared, how muggles lit a fire, but they had matches. How hard could it truly be? Or where were the elves when one needed them?
