There was a bright flare as the coat was thrown in to the fire place, causing the matches inside to finally light, which made more of the coat catch fire, which only lit more matches. The candles started melting from the heat, giving the fireplace more fuel, and the fact they were apple scented did nothing to cover the scent of burning fur. But they had a fire now, at least, even if it didn't exactly smell wonderful.
Rebecca, though, was less than pleased. "My coat!" Never, in a million years, did she think anyone would be so desperate for heat that they'd throw her mink into a fireplace. She thought surely someone would know how to put it out, that they could fix it when their magic came back. She wanted to be angry about it, but she was too busy staring into the fireplace in shock.
