For her part, Lily had decided that if you couldn't beat them, you'd better join them; she had taken a shower in good humour despite having seen the results beforehand, preferring purple hair to dirty hair, and had styled it rather more elaborately than usual, with tendrils of the plum-coloured locks falling around her eyes, just to show off the hue. After all, odd hair was the least of anyone's worries right now, and it was harmless; why not join in the fun? The prefect had the feeling that none of the current students of Hogwarts had much longer to be kids, no matter their age. Might as well make the most of it while they could, while anyone was still in the mood to mess around with dyeing potions.
She was, as usual, one of the first into the Headmaster's office, and she took a seat near the middle without hesitation, figuring that she had been one of the people to start this thing, so it would be ridiculous to hang around the edges. Besides, if Dumbledore wanted her to explain anything, it was best to be right in the center where everyone would be able to hear her.
Edgar Bones, however, arrived with a good deal more trepidation. James's invitation had been vague, at best, and while he didn't like what was going on at all- seventy-one people! a dead student! comas for all, including his beloved sister!- Edgar wasn't a fighter. But he figured it couldn't hurt to hear what everyone had to say. Spotting Hestia as he walked in, he went to stand next to her, reaching up to tug gently on her braid by way of greeting.
