There was little Evan Rosier did that didn’t require extreme planning. His upbringing, though undoubtedly focused mostly on how to best serve Lord Voldemort, had also stressed the importance of appearance. If he could not truly be perfect (his imperfections coming solely from the weakness that came from daring to risk it all for time with Elizabeth), he could at least be careful enough that he’d never be discovered.
Though Evan was quite infamously against parties of any sort, he had promised Cassandra to make an appearance. Additionally, his showing up before disappearing with books into the rest of the school allowed for a more secure alibi should any questions arise. He adjusted the cuff of the black button-down that extended beyond his dark gray sweater and dug his hands into the pockets of his black pants as he glanced around at his housemates. The sight of most was met with a bit of that usual condescending glance, though it was softened given that they were Slytherins and therefore worthy. He offered a nod to the hostess of the party as well, taking a glass of one of the many drinks and sipping at it.
His appearance only lasted a few moments, just long enough for a few people to see him so as to better back up the story should such be necessary. At half past 8, he grabbed the bag of books he’d brought down with him before slipping from the common room and making his way up to the upper floors where the empty classrooms were. Once he was certain he’d successfully escaped being seen, Evan ducked into one of the rooms and pulled himself to sit on a table within, intending to study as he waited for Elizabeth to join him.
