Though Severus wasn't all too keen on the idea of inter-house unity, he'd still attended the house-wide parties. Mostly in hopes of catching sight of Lily Evans. The Slytherin-only parties were more of a waste of his time, as the giggling girls were always too loud and distracting for him to get any reading done. More often than not he simply nicked some food and retired to his dormitory to read or work on homework. Tonight he didn't have food, but he had a drink.
"Will they really?" Severus asked, setting his goblet on the bedside table. He turned to look at Lucius Malfoy. Last he'd seen of the platinum blond he was wrapped up with Narcissa Black in a window seat. It only made Severis slightly sick with jealousy. Not of Miss Black, of course, but of Lucius getting the girl he wanted.
Severus slipped his outer robes down off his shoulders to reveal a button-down shirt and black trousers. He draped the robe across his bed, and sat down.
