Who: Lucius Malfoy and Severus Snape (Implied Narcissa Black!) Where: Slytherin 6th year boys' dorms When: Friday, October 5, during the party What: Busy night Rating: PG
The party, despite Lucius' preconceptions, rather did have the air of a post-quidditch party. Although, perhaps with more planning, the food was of better caliber. It certainly outranked whatever peasant swill Dumbledore had tried to stuff them with at dinner. But prominent players were missing. Ares had come down a few times for food or drinks, to circulate; Evan had not appeared all night. Lucius could only assume that now had been the most appropriate time for work. Bellatrix, of course, was absent, Rodolphus likewise scarce. Barty had made a showing, many had made a showing but above fifth year, it was largely a girl's game.
So he noticed, languidly stretched, entwined in an alcove on the wall by the fireplace, when Severus Snape grew bored and withdrew. Often at this time, the dark-haired wizard might retreat to the potions classroom, but after curfew, he had gone in a different direction. Were Lucius to guess, his dormitory. "Will you hold this, dearest?" He shifted slightly, moving his feet towards the floor.
Lucius kissed the crown of the blonde beside him as he handed her the plate of food they had both been picking at over the course of the evening. "I wish to speak to Severus briefly." He took his time extracting them and plucked his green cocktail in its nonchalant crystal goblet from the nearby table.
He had not had enough to swerve his step, the swagger was from within has he stalked across the common room, following the boy up the flight of stairs. The dormitory was empty, save for the two men. Rosier and Nott had to be in the seventh year dorms then. A fire flashed in the Slytherin's eyes, at the chance to perhaps claim a prize tonight.
"People will miss you at the party."
The Head Boy spoke evenly, waiting for his acknowledgement.
