A supernatural game
For the past 40 years, vampires have been in global control. They came in numbers no one, not even the top hunting organizations, could have anticipated. With overwhelming force they enslaved the human race, instituting systems which heavily favored the conquerors and made the conquered into little more than pets, food, and laborers. By 2015, most of these humans, commonly considered "slaves," can't remember a world without vampire rule, and that's just the way the bloodsuckers want it.
The year has been off to a rocky start, with the murder of three high-profile vampires, and most recently a brazen attack on Times Square. How much of a lasting effect these events will have remains to be seen, as life continues on in the Big Apple and new power-players rise to take the place of the fallen.
Welcome to New York City, the current capitol of the vampire empire.
