Looking for someone to play a guy in a line set in a small, Southern town where everyone knows everyone. He's a mechanic, or some kind of rough and tumble middle aged worker who moved to town a few years prior. No one really knows much about him at all, except that he never goes out and he just barely seems to tolerate people. She's just moved back to town after finishing university. Her mom is sick and no one else in her family is willing to look after her. She'd never planned on moving back to that little town, but when the two of them strike up an unlikely, back-and-forth camaraderie over beer in the local pub, the rest of the town starts talking.
Can be played het or slash. I'd just like a line based around small town rumours and people who've been hurt or sidelined from their life goals in different ways. I'd love something volatile where they don't get along with each other all the time, but find solace in one another regardless.

I've just apped Nate here over at ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) companymods and would give mountains of diamonds if I can find someone to come and play his best girl friend in the world (if anyone has the patience to read through the whole app, the line is named The Good Mother). I have the name Kelly Cheng in the app, but that's totally negotiable like a bunch of other factors, but she must be Asian and is either bisexual or lesbian. Nate met her early in Hong Kong and they've been through thick and thin and are raising a child together, but that in itself is a challenge since their son is often sick.
Nate is an attorney and works in the library. Kelly can be potentially anything you'd like! The game opens on Jan. 15, so lots of spots are still open. Aside from the challenges of being parents of a nontraditional family unit, occasional cultural clashes would make me so happy, and I'm sure there's a lot of things they'd agree to disagree on so there's always plenty of room for plot. I'd be very interested to see how Kelly deals with Nate's inherent nonsexuality and how he chooses to deal with her. I'm hoping to make this into a fun, complex line with lots going on. Kelly would also have potential lines with Nate's cousin and one of his exes, who are already in game. Lastly, I'm by no means attached to these faces, but possibilities are: Zhang Ziyi, Song Hye-Kyo, Maggie Q, or Utada Hikaru. Feel free to poke me in the journal!

This is a long shot, but could I get someone to play the male in a het or slash line about a soldier returning home from his latest tour? I'd prefer to play it out as him returning to a long time girlfriend or to a friend who just might have been more if they'd been able to say what they wanted before he left. Or even to an old classmate from high school, someone they haven't talked to in years and years and now that they're both back home and maybe kind of at a loss for what to do in life they start hanging out and things go from there.

Mature writers: No netspeak, no chronic misuse of homophones (we all typo, no big deal, but if you do not know the difference between their, there, and they're or presence and presents, we cannot write together.)
I put a lot of thought and effort and love into my characters, even the sickos. You will never receive a reply from me that is less than several paragraphs. I will not carry on a line with someone who returns my time and effort with a handful of careless sentences.
Availability: Please!! I am looking for a long-term writing partner with someone who can respond regularly. Once a week is not sufficient to keep this sort of plot rolling. I'm not OCD (much) and don't expect hourly/daily replies, but a minimum of 4-5/week average is expected/appreciated. If we could sometimes mesh to have the occasional rapid volley/rp marathon, too, that would be great.
About me:
I am an adult, heterosexual female, happily married with kids. What I want to write is absolutely WRONG if it were to happen with real live human beings. I am not looking for a relationship beyond a writing one and do not want to write with anyone who does not firmly understand the difference between fantasy and reality.
