Hello all... awhile back I posted a piece of mail that came to my family's home while my parents were on vacation. Today I bring you another piece:

Basically asking my dad for money and signing a petition against Senate Bill 1105 Hate Crimes Legislation to be sent to Arlen Specter and Robert Casey (I live in PA).

Dear ______,
Thank you for speaking with me a couple of weeks ago. It was such a joy to discuss how the Lord is working in our lives as well as the great things the National Committee for Faith and Family is doing. I really enjoyed our conversation and have enclosed the Petition we talked about.
As we discussed, we are working hard to put a stop to Senate Bill #1105. If it becomes law our pastors could be prosecuted for preaching about any moral issue such as homosexuality! We must stand firm for Christ regardless of the difficulties we may suffer as a result!
When we talked, you agreed to support our efforts with an urgently needed contribution of $50.00. Our chairman, Michael Reagan, has written you several letters in the past weeks following-up on your commitment to no avail.
That's why I'm writing to you today. As of this morning, we have no record of receiving your generous commitment of $50.00... and to be honest with you - I'm concerned that your gift was lost in the mail! I even double checked with Michelle Healey, our Membership Coordinator, and went to the processing center myself and have not been able to find your check. If you have recently mailed or called in your pledge, please disregard this letter.
I have enclosed another stamped envelope for you to mail in your gift, or to be safe you can call me TODAY at 1-866-872-0811 to use any major credit card. I might be out of the office this week, but my associates will help you get this all cleared-up.
Please return your pledged gift along with the enclosed petition today! We simply cannot continue to stand-up for our Pastors and shared Christian values without your support.
I will follow-up with you as soon as I return to the office next week. In the meantime, have a good day and I apologize for the confusion.

Do we know who these people are (Faith & Family and Citizens United)? I'm thinking of tossing this in with that mailing from the Christian Coalition. Is this another group with ties to 'the bad guys.' I don't know much about this Senate Bill. There's nothing in wiki (I know it's not the best source) about it. I'll do some more snooping around. Though, seems there are some clergy out there in support of it.
However, seems my parents haven't been answering their letters. LOL I don't think it's on purpose and I hope they're not planning on sending them $50.00.
