Mind you, I don't agree with him that Christians are necessarily conservative of the moral order by definition. When the moral order consists of unrestrained capitalism on the one hand, and the state defining who I can name as my partner of choice on the other, I have no interest in conserving it. I live by moral tenets, but I don't need or want those tenets to be adopted by my government. That's called choice. Since Christianity is, first and foremost, about choosing to live in a Christlike way, choice should be paramount.
