Not at all - was at uni all day long. You don't have to keep it open for me - otherwise I'll sneak some time in tomorrow (since I know myself and probably won't be working on the projects I'm supposed to be working on all day long anyway)

:)

Technically there's a documentation due as well, but the Professor gave us until the 15th for that. Still, the presentation needs to be grant - lots of pictures and either a video or a (slight) game demonstration (slight because we're not doing the Game Programming course, just Game Design)... we certainly don't want/have time to do a video and haven't done anything at all to create the game *headdesk*

At least there's the weekend - minus Saturday when my parents fetch me because they want to go shopping here in Erfurt (and I think walk over the Christmas Market :D)

Yay for shopping! And you might spend some of your weekend working on your project.

Looking at it. Thinking I still have x amount of time left. I can do this. Later....

:P Or is that just my approach to a deadline.

I:D

It tends to be my way too, but I dare say I've gotten better at starting earlier... then comes a long(er) break and then I rush back to it as time runs out :D
I'm practising avoiding the last minute rush though - it somehow manages to make me feel as if I got the rest of my life organized/managed as well (which is a very good feeling :D)

I have about 2000 words so I don't know if I'll manage to finish it. :-(

My muse took a vacation for writing anything longer than drabbles. But at least I am writing those. :-D

I'm just asking because the drafts for the artists are due soon... saw it today by chance: http://community.livejournal.com/bigbangbuffet/2621.html

That's why I'm asking.

As it is, I'm halfway done wordwise... plotwise I'm still in first year and far from romance - or an end. Maybe I should give it to you to read and tell me if rushing through a couple of years would work well after how long it took me to not even reach Halloween!

I have until the seventh there might be a chance if I stop playing facebook games. :-P

I do that in my stories all the time, build up to one point and then rush through it in a few words. :-P I'd love to read it.

*debates logging off to go to the net book to type.*

I thought the same :D

I've done it once before in Uniting Forces (I think I only ever linked to a word file for that)... but it worked out there. Let's see how it ends up here :)
I sent you my current version per email :)

Those are the difficult questions in life :D

*pokes email, and waits for it to load*

It's actually an easy question because I need fairy dust so I have to pay attention to the fairy village game and therefore, no netbooking for another little bit. :-D Although I suppose I could prop my netbook on the desk and then type...

:-P

The woes of addicting games :)

I used to be really good at collecting, but recently I keep forgetting. It's probably a good thing I have more of the buildings that need longer until they're done and give a tad bit more fairy dust.

That's not to say that the achievements do give a nice amount of fairy dust as rewards as well :)

A friend sent me the link yesterday and I'm addicted. I don't know how long I'll play it though before it bores me.

Although now I'm also reading this fascinating Harry Potter fic. :-D
I'm on page five.

As far as I know - nothing spoils there :D

:D
I love my beginning the most - the way it goes from victorious to depressed :D

Re-reading myself before printing it to write some more on paper: I already considered letting the letter arrive a bit later just to have a bit more time pass.

Your opinion is probably the best for now - who knows what I might change as I re-read so I hopefully won't contradict myself. Knowing myself, I'll "fix" something that was already corrected into something wrong again :)
Once I'm done I'll sent it to you for beta reading :D

Thanks :D

It's really good! I don't notice any pacing errors.

I want more, though! :-D

I won't print it out to correct then. There a few spelling errors. Some of them are probably my spelling being set to US rather than UK grammar. And a few typoes. But I'm sure we'll catch them.

That's a relief then :D

I'll give my best to work on it :)

It's probably a mix of all of it :D
I did set my spell checker to British, but there are probably a couple of typos/Misspellings regardless. Some of them get highlighted because I'm not sure (like Neville saying "gran" - I'm not sure if I should capitalised or not) and others probably move right passed my attention.
I once noticed in a fic that I printed years later that I wrote "sun" instead of "son" :D

:-D I do the same with some words.

I'm always spelling know as now and now as know and I don't know why.

I think Gran is capitalized because it's a proper noun.

The spelling/typo that I see all the time on FF.net that drives me crazy but also amuses me is clam for calm. I've seen it in multiple fics that someone should clam down or that they were clam.:-D

Now it's time to wake Ian up for his lab practical. I wonder how zombie like he'll be. :-D

:)

I know mistakes like that stem from their similar sounds. I'm thinking what I want to write - so I write it like it sounds (or the brain picks the word to type based on the sound ;D)

I thought so to - but more because it's a name that refers to a specific person :D
(I learned that in regards to headmaster/deputy headmistress :D)

That's funny :) I've read a lot of rants like that on fanficrants @LJ. Some of the things ranted about just make me go wtf??? It's from spelling problems to Mary Sues to lack of warning to character bashing or ooc-ness. And everything in between :D

Being woken is the worst thing ever - especially if it's about school/work. I think that's the part that makes the zombies - the brain not wanting to deal with school/work :D

I've learned that ranting communities are cruel places. :-D

Poor Ian gets to deal with both. First lab and then work until 7:30 am. :-D But it's fun to wake him up. I'm really cheerful about it. Which he puts up with mostly because I give him food and drink. :-P
