There were a lot of words that came to mind when Audrey thought back on the incredibly strange day she'd had. Weird, obviously. Interesting. Pretty fun. It had been like a part of herself she tried so hard to keep under-control had been given the liberty to run amok instead and she felt really kind of excited and liberated by it. Preacher's kids were always the freaky ones, right? All that pent-up sexual desire kept in check by nothing more than a flimsy little purity ring. She was sure it worked for some people but for her? Nah. She'd finally managed to find enough time to have a proper meal and was just heading back to her room to take the rest of her night to herself, when she paused in the middle of the hallway. Something in that primal lizard-brain was suddenly acutely aware that there was someone behind her. It wasn't a threatening presence, but it was looming (most people loomed over Audrey, she barely scraped past five foot tall) and large and made a curious little tickle raise the hair on the back of her neck. Fully expecting to see a ghost, Audrey turned slowly and glanced back over her shoulder to find... Jinn. Huh. She legitimately only ever saw him in the cemetery and the morning before when she'd forced her mostly decent attempt at Turkish coffee on him. "Hey there, Big Guy," she said, amusement in her voice and a little tick of a smirk at the corner of her lips. "You lost? Or is your..." she looked around. Was his room up here somewhere? She really needed to be more aware of her surroundings. Audrey was standing right next to her own door and leaned a hand against it, taking up space, asserting the kind of dominance that one might with a grizzly bear, but she was still smiling at him. There was a question in the air between them - more a curiosity than anything - but hell, if he was down she was down. And she was pretty sure Joey wasn't in their room. |
