She definitely should have known that, that he was here on this floor too. But she'd only been moved into Joey's room a couple of weeks ago and so many people came and went and shuffled around that it was hard to keep track. And, truth be told, she was kind of lost in her own head a lot of the time too. Even when she was working with him in the graveyard, she was thinking of about a dozen different things at once. It was really kind of shocking she was still kicking. But there was something to be said for fight-or-flight responses and adrenaline and needing to be aware of your surroundings when there was something legitimate threatening going on. Jinn was not that.
He was... he was interesting. Intentionally mysterious. Pretty fun to talk to when she could get him talking. And he was also kind of hot. Like, genuinely pretty hot. And not just in terms of body heat. So when he started to close in on her and asked if she wanted to be alone, she didn't even flinch. Her smirk just settled a bit more firmly on her face and she gave him a single-shouldered shrug.
"Not really," she replied. "I figured I would be, but if you want to come in and see what happens, I'm totally good with that too."
She pushed herself off the door and swiftly unlocked it, flicking on the light as she stepped inside. Sure enough, Joey hadn't come back yet. Did she need to hang a tie on the door or something? Eh. But the room was tidy, aside from a hoodie over the back of the couch, a stuffed rabbit on the floor between the beds, and Audrey's perpetually unmade bed. She left the door open for him while she toed out of her shoes and sat down on the edge of the bed with a faint bounce. She wasn't really sure what to expect from Jinn but she did know she was pretty eager to find out.
