Okay guys... Meme time.
Yeah, this one should be fun hopefully. Each of you guys is going to have to take part in a story/drabble based on the following meme~ How this is going to work though. I'm going to take random books in my room and close my eyes to pick one for each character. If anyone is actually paying attention to this place besides me, you can comment with a character's name and a line from a book (please include the book's name and author) and I will write something in response to it! If you want a specific pairing as long as I'm not vehemently against it you can request that too as long as it's any of my PLC-based muses or Yamada, Satsuki, or Naoi. ANYWAY, for the basics though... Here's the blank meme:

1. Choose a book.
2. Open it to a random page.
3. Scan it and choose a sentence or phrase that grabs you.
4. Write a drabble inspired by it for a fandom/character/pairing of your choice.
5. Lather, Rinse, Repeat as desired.

OKAY READY GO!

Okay. Problem. Buffy had been presented with some major mishap-inviting situations in the past day, largely due to her flipping another girl over her shoulder and onto the ground. It was totally that girl's fault for trying to stick something down the back of her shirt. (Buffy never found out what it was-- she suspected whatever it was got away after she flipped Cheryl over.) But Cheryl had been in charge of this week's charity program-- a show for some little kids.

Now, performing arts were probably the opposite of Buffy's thing. Talent shows, magic shows, whatever shows weren't her territory unless they really wanted her to stand there and make punny puns that punned punnily, but because she had been the one who had injured Cheryl (not really, Cheryl was way dramatizing it), Buffy had been the one put in charge of the presentation.

Which naturally meant that her personal iPhone was totally her go-to because if she went to Giles, they'd end up reading about the crucifixion of some vampire overlord named after some kind of sushi and she didn't think the parents would go for that.

Thus was how Buffy arrived in the infirmary today, luckily without the need for a get-out-of-class-free pass for once.

Now, they'd been talking about it for a while. Something flashy that would get the kids excited without Buffy having to actually do anything. Some talking and strange business later, Buffy had just decided that Peter could show up and do something, and that was how it had gone.

A few days later, Peter had settled on a magic show. Buffy had to admit, the man was good with kids. Well, he was good with everyone, but Peter looked like he was having fun. If Buffy didn't know better, she would think he was a really good magician too, but she knew he was sort of cheating by actually disappearing when the time for the disappearing act came, phasing through the ropes when he was tied up and put in a tank of water, all the basic magic tricks done with actual power.

Well, basic until Peter decided to pull one of the old behind-the-ear quarter tricks. Only he didn't use a quarter, he decided to go all out and really impress the kid by pulling a stuffed toy out from his ear. Not just a regular stuffed toy, one of those giant frogs you got from carnivals. Buffy was pretty sure he must've frozen time to get that thing there, but that was still pretty ridiculous.

After the show, all of the kids were thoroughly impressed, but Buffy was pretty sure Peter needed to get back to work before someone died back at school. Well, that and Buffy wanted him out of there before parents started questioning how he did that because that was...

"Way over the top, Peter."

"Was it too much? Everyone's seen the quarter trick. It was the kid's birthday tomorrow, too."

"Way way way too much. I mean, I know it was a finale but if I didn't pull you out of there how the heck were you going to explain where you were hiding that stuffed animal?"

"Er... right. What wouldn't have been over the top?"

"I don't know. Sword swallowing? Fire breathing? There are people who do those things. Just pull up the app for it."

"There's not an... app for those things yet."

"...Really? You can't do fire? Isn't that like, way basic? You can melt heads by poking them and you can't do something normal people can do with lots of practice?"

"Nope."

"Oh. Well that sucks. Guess the frog wasn't such a bad idea after all then."

-----END-----

SORRY. IT SUCKS. REALLY HARD. Like really really hard. I'll do Alois's later 'cause I'm feeling like I'm sucking pretty hard right now. And apparently I can't write Peter 'cause that felt waaaay awkward all the way. BUT. I hope it was at least moderately entertaining for at least five seconds. >/)
