Who: Teddy/Drake, Natasha, Alex
What: THE BIRDS!
Where: Natasha's apartment/surrounding area
When: morning

Teddy wasn't entirely certain what had woken him up, his nose buried in the unfamiliar pillow, his hip and shoulder pressing into something hard and unforgiving. When his eyes opened, all he saw was darkness for a moment. Not his room, that much he knew for certain. After a few seconds of listening, his brain recognizing the sound of a second person's gentle breathing. His memory seemed to reassert itself then, recalling everything that had happened the night before. Natasha's place. Natasha's room. Natasha sleeping on the bed behind him. He sat up partway, his body stiff and aching in protest, though he remained quiet. His hand drifted near where his head had been, searching for the comm device he knew was here. When his fingers found it, they navigated to the button at the top, sheltering the device with the blanket he'd been using so as not to allow the light to travel too far. The last thing he wanted was to wake up his lovely host.

Seven in the morning. Seventy-five percent charge on his comm. No new military notifications.

A quick glance around the room, searching for a digital clock or any other indication that the power had come back on, came up negative. Carefully and quietly he moved, sliding up onto his feet and gently stepping toward the door. There was a notable change of temperature as he slid it open, careful not to let too much light in, or heat out as he squeezed through. He lingered, just for a second, glancing at the bed to make sure he hadn't woken her up, then quietly closed the door behind him. The apartment was cold, though not quite as bad as he might have feared. He wished he'd grabbed his longer shirt, or his socks at least, but didn't want to chance a return trip that might cause her to stir. The sounds of the weather had dissipated, and the windows seemed perfectly intact. Even from the distance he could see that the sky outside was slowly starting to lighten. Maybe the storm was actually over.

He ducked into the bathroom, testing the faucet really quick to make sure that the water was running. No frozen pipes, which was good, but no hot water. The comm device was left on the sink with the screen aimed up, illuminating the whole room. He should have grabbed one of the flashlights, but there was nothing to do about it now. He used the restroom, washed his hands, and took advantage of the bottle of mouth wash there. He drifted into the main room afterward, pulling the table away from the window and setting it back up. After, he moved to pull back one of the curtains a little, not wanting to disturb the insulation they provided too much. The streets were covered in a thick layer of white, even visible in the near-darkness outside. There were a few people outside attempting to clear walkways, or assess whatever damage had accumulated with their buildings or the vehicles below, but it looked like no one had power yet.

Letting the curtain drift close again, he moved to sit on the couch, checking the comms for any other announcements. No trams yet, but workers were being acquired to clear the streets. Progress. Good.

Natasha didn't really know what to do after Drake took off into the sky but watch. It was both fascinating and disturbing to think that was Teddy. Not completely, but partly, right? She wasn't entirely sure. Even so, she stayed out of the way, her eyes on the sky until a van pulled up nearby. Natasha felt relief when she saw Alex depart from the vehicle.

As Alex approached, Natasha offered the woman a faint smile. "I'm fine." Honestly, she wasn't sure how to respond. She didn't do great. All she did was hesitantly toss out a few orders and hope the creature understood what she was saying. Natasha motioned to Drake. "Will he be okay?"

The arrival of the Big Beast drew Drake's attention immediately, and he was somewhat aware of the fact that a few of the furies had taken flight as well. The majority remained, watching and waiting, as if intent to see what would happen, if their temporary territory would be restored to them. A familiar voice caused him to perk, his head tilting to the side as his tail swayed of its own accord. The Favorite! The Favorite was here!

He chirped pleasantly in her direction, though he didn't move from his post even as she neared. When she relayed pride, he answered in return with a pleased grunt, twisting his body around her to rub lightly even as he returned back to his former position afterward. His head nuzzled the hand even as his eyes focused on the enemy, though when other female spoke up he craned his neck to see.

Strawberries. He relayed to The Favorite, his mouth opening and closing. Strawberries good. Fury taste bad. Who? His pointed his nose in the female's direction, sniffing at the air. Pack? Alpha? Was in the den. Remember. Strawberries good.

Later, Alex would make a point to go up to Natasha and tell her in no uncertain terms that she knew there was no way she was 'fine' and offer support, but right now she simply nodded at Teddy's fiancee, a small smile thrown her way for good measure. That she asked about Drake was a good sign, and when she did so Alex looked at the little (well, 'little', more endearment than truth to that) beast's head, noticing some sure signs of a good fight. It was too much to hope that he would get away unscathed, she supposed, but Alex still clicked her tongue in regret. "Eventually. We'll take care of him." She said fondly.

Drake wasn't the only one with both eyes on the enemy even while pleasantries were exchanged. She was about to try and gauge some inside information on how to take them down when strawberries came to mind and Alex had to let out a chuckle. Many later, promise. She did not doubt the furies tasted bad. They sounded bad in her mind, like immense hunger and fury and little else other than the predatory instinct and desire that made them so dangerous.

Pack now. Friend. She confirmed, looking over at Natasha as she relayed to Drake the need to be nice and protective of her as he was of the rest of his pack. She toyed with the idea of introducing her as a mate to The Other Him now, but since they weren't exactly 'joined' yet, that would be a concept best explained later. Friend, pack member and to be protected was enough. Snow! she then relayed. Not that this counted exactly as playing in the snow, but right now she felt it best to squeeze in a little joy, maybe detract from how battered he was.

Strawberries later, she reiterated, rubbing his head.

Alex looked up to the furies still hovering to try and gauge their status now. Rattled, apprehensive, but no less intent on returning. One last time, letting go of the link to Drake, she tried to link up to them - one, two of them was perhaps all it would take. Wrong prey. Not prey. Wrong place. Nothing. They wanted to come back down and tear them all apart. They were here now, after all, having gotten into their minds that this was where they were supposed to hunt. Predators didn't stop until they were satisfied...or killed.

Termination. she finally told Drake, eyes still on the furies. when Alex had exited the van the first time around to aid civilians she had been tossed a gun, which she had been carrying on her back for every exit. This last time, the driver had said to keep it, she would need it. She hadn't used it much yet, but was about to. Take them down together. Me sky, you down here. If moving on ground, you kill.

"Natasha, we have to take them down, they might swoop again, keep as safe as you can. No one gets out here, okay?" That said, Alex was already moving to cover behind a car and aiming, though not firing until Drake acknowledged the orders.

Natasha wondered if Teddy would feel the effects of any injury Drake received. She had never asked, had she? Maybe he healed quickly, but she couldn't remember seeing anything gruesome on Teddy's body - what little of it she had seen - in the past. Who knew. It was something to ask about later, when there weren't furies in the sky. Now just wasn't the time.

"We'll stay inside," Natasha assured Alex. There seemed to be silent communication between the two, which would make sense, given Alex's role as Drake's handler. Natasha was curious, but it was really none of her business. She stepped back as Alex rushed off, and then slipped back into the building. She had no desire to be pecked or killed by a bird. Everything else could be dealt with later.

Friend. Drake relayed in return, tilting his head at Strawberry Lady. He wanted a chance to properly sniff her again, and was momentarily torn between that, the mention of the snow, and the promise of battle. So rarely did he have so many compelling decisions. He chirped at Strawberry Lady, a promise that he'd be right back to give her a good greeting, then turned and sat at attention as more orders were relayed.

A snort and a nod, eyeing the line of birds hanging off the edges of the big nests. He wasn't allowed to climb those, his claws broke and shattered things that weren't meant to.

Roar? The question was relayed with a click of his tongue, the muscles in his shoulder and back flexing as he straightened onto all fours again, eyes focused up and ahead. He wasn't allowed to do that normally either, so when the affirmation came he bounced a little on his front feet in excited anticipation.

He paddled forward a few feet, his large feet crunching into the snow, leaving deep wounds in the white, and one pink print where he'd crushed one of the birds under him. He inhaled and exhaled in a low grunt several times, his front legs swiping at the snow in front of him, sending blasts of cold spray away from him. His tail whipped, striking out to the side to toss the carcass in the road into the air and closer to the enemy. A few birds ruffled their feathers at the display of territory, but only a few fluttered off. The grunts turned to snarls, lips curling, teeth bared, and the muscles in his back so tense that the spines protrurding from his neck shifted and rattled.

MY territory. MY place. Not you. YOU go. You go or die. Crush. Bite. Kill. He relayed the words, even knowing that they wouldn't understand. These were dumb things. Stupid birds from over the wall. Changed things. Not natural. Not good. They smelled bad. Tasted bad. Hurt good things. Didn't belong.

MINE. The relay was definite, defiant, loud. His entire body peeled back, raising onto his back legs and then slammed forward again as the bellowing roar echoed over the street. It echoed and sang, and wings sprang upwards in unison as he carried the sound out for as long as his breath would give him. MINE.

After Drake chirped in Natasha's direction Alex smiled at her, turning back around to face the trouble in question. Today was what could be considered 'extenuating circumstances' which meant Drake was allowed to do most things he wasn't normally. At this point, Alex just wanted the damn birds gone.

Drake was off to taunt the birds, and Alex cocked her gun and pointed up. It wasn't the most precise gun for this type of shooting, but it would damn well do the trick. Alex demanded it. Watching Drake do his thing always put a smile on Alex's face however dire the circumstance might be.

The stupid birds didn't understand, but Alex did, and she filled Drake's mind with pride and encouragement. Her smile grew as she readjusted the position of her gun. Any time now. Yours. She agreed. When Drake finally released the roar Alex's entire body tensed - and she had been there for it before. Even so it was such a powerful sound she felt it reverberate in her ribs, through her heart, filling her ears to the point where she flinched a bit.

There was little time to adjust the gun again, but towards the end of Drake's breath Alex managed to aim her rifle and shoot one down. Go get 'em! she signaled, ready to fire off a few more shots as the birds scattered and struggled. Three to five rounds seemed to be the standard for taking one down, and seeing as Alex had not gotten any spares she hoped the load was enough.

Oh, they had guns now. Natasha moved away from the doors quickly, suggesting to the others that they return to their apartments, or at least gather in the management office, away from the windows and doors. The sound of Drake's roar startled Natasha, as well as a few others, and most of the small crowd began to disperse quickly. Natasha included. She couldn't help, and she didn't want to get in the way. So she returned to her own apartment, gathering Teddy's damp clothes once she had. Moving to the window, she glanced outside to see Alex firing off a few shots below. Thank god Natasha hadn't been forced into the military.

Moving away from the window, Natasha folded the clothes and set them to the side before she sat down on the couch to wait. It was a strange feeling, this helplessness, but Teddy and Alex were trained for these situations. Natasha wasn't.

By the time the pair of them seemed to be winding down over the next few minutes, more carcasses littered the street. Drake was strutting around like a heavyweight champion, calling up to the birds that remained. None of them seemed to have any intention of swooping down on anyone. For seemingly good measure, the sound of a door opening on one of the roofs drew Drake's gaze to a figure with an object in his hand. His head tilted, eyeing the birds closest to him, then the figure again, calling out twice in warning.

Danger. Go back.

A second later a loud, ear-piercing honk filled the air, and Drake bounced back in surprise. The human was roaring back. The birds took flight as the sound came again, and instantly Drake joined the chorus. The human bellowed, the lizard bellowed in response, and even after the birds had disappeared the two continued their game until the man on the ledge pulled out his tiny light box. Drake knew those things. The Favorite had one. Strawberry Lady had been holding one too. There were two tiny flashes, and Drake turned, glancing around to see if there were any of those Things left.

None that were alive.

Done, he relayed confidently with a snort, shaking his body off from nose to tail. Dismissed?

It was a damn massacre, but better this one than any other victims bleeding out in her arms like that other man had almost done. Alex really hoped he'd make it. The other birds seemed astounded - when she sensed for their minds Alex realized they felt threatened, outweighed and outnumbered. That was great. Alex had shot another one down, clean in the face, no chance of that one moving anywhere - when she heard Drake signaling danger. Alex pulled the gun down and looked up at the roof of a building where a man was standing alone, holding something she couldn't quite make out.

The honking came out of nowhere, and Alex grimaced, almost reflexively covering her ears. "God damn!" She exclaimed. At least for Drake's roar she'd been ready. Watching the scene unfold around her, Alex chuckled when Drake joined the honking in earnest. Hey she wasn't going to stop them if it drove the birds away, hopefully to someone with a better perch and more bullets.

When the noise stopped Alex relaxed her shoulders, putting her gun back behind her and surveying the scene. Fury graveyard, that's all it was now. She had to admit she was a little proud. Well, a lot. Really, very much.

Chuckling at Drake's confidence, Alex nodded, relaxing her stance. Dismissed. Good job. She crossed her arms and looked around at Natasha's building where people were approaching all glass surfaces to see if the danger had indeed passed. While smiling, she shook one outstretched hand to signal the non-permanent nature of the peace. Some people still made their way outside to check the wreckage. "Don't go too far, there could be more." You never knew. Then, she pulled out her comm and sent a message up to Natasha. 'It's safe to come out for now, you wanna come "celebrate"?'

Natasha felt one of the two comms in her pocket vibrate, and she jumped up, having forgotten she had both her own and Teddy's in her pockets. She pulled out her comm and saw the message from Alex. Hesitating, Natasha chewed on her lip before typing in: make sure teddy drake is okay? drying off teddy's clothes. Natasha didn't want to sound dismissive, but she was still trying to wrap her head around everything that had just happened.

Drake was entirely oblivious to the exchange, or the fact that civilians were now wandering out of the safety of their dens. They were outside! They could play! Just like The Favorite had promised! The second the "all clear" had been sounded, he burrowed himself into the snowbank to his left, rolling and winding as streaks of blood and grime were left behind. Only when he planted his face into it did he release a grunt, sitting upright and wagging his head from side to side.

Face. Hurt. One front raised to rub the back of it lightly against his cheek, only resulting in more tenderness. Another grunt and he was back on his feet, trudging back toward The Favorite. Truth be told, it didn't hurt that much, but it was enough to raise annoyance and interrupt his play. Stupid Things. He glanced down on the way, pausing to wipe a paw into the snow, only to take a closer look at his torso. His blue eyes moved back to The Favorite, head tilting. Dirty.

Even though Drake had expressed his wish to play in the snow a few days before, Alex still wasn't expecting him to jump and burrow into the snowbank. She let out a loud trail of laughter, and some of the other civilians laughed too. There were mentions of him being just like a puppy. Alex wouldn't go that far, he was better than a puppy. He was awesome. She did grimace at his pain and moved to go check the extent of his injuries. Somewhat deep scratches, enough to bleed and be tender, but not terribly serious. Still, if they hurt, they needed to get looked at. Need medic, she relayed.

Looking him down as he did so to himself, Alex nodded. Need bath. she also transmitted adding that she, too, needed one soon. Rubbing the intact part of his face with one hand, Alex read Natasha's text with her comm on her other hand. It looked a little brusque but Alex knew she had just witnessed a lot more than anyone should. First a giant bird attack in her neighborhood, then her fiance's mythical other-self...I had to be a little much. Alex sighed and texted her back. 'A few gashes, but he's mostly all right. Playing in the snow a little. Feels dirty, and so do I. When you're ready let me know? Or just come down.'

Meanwhile, maybe Drake could try to swipe some of the dirt onto the snow. snow bath? she suggested.

Natasha sighed and realized she would have to go downstairs to return Teddy's comm and clothes to Alex anyway. Still, she waited a few moments, glancing out the window to see people gathering around Teddy - Drake - wanting to get a better look at him. She wasn't sure how she felt about everything. It had been unexpected and a little jarring. Rubbing her temple, Natasha turned away from the window and finally walked over to grab Teddy's things. She slipped them into a brown paper bag, having no clue how Alex planned on getting Teddy home. If he would change back, or if Drake would just... fly.

She finally headed downstairs, pushing open the door into the chilly air. Finding Alex, Natasha walked over to the other woman, a small smile on her face. "Um, clothes," she said, holding up the bag. "And his comm he left me." She offered it out to Alex. "I'm sure he'll want all of these things when he's back to... well, Teddy."

The mention of a bath made Drake huff, relaying in his own way that if anyone was going to take a bath it would be the Other Him. Drake had done all the work, after all. The small crowd was of fairly large interest to him, and he neared each individual as much as they would allow, sniffing and leaning each one before the offer of a snow bath distracted him.

That he could do. He flopped onto his side, then his back, twisting as he had before, though this time he had the benefit of two little squishy ones throwing white onto his belly as they made their tiny sounds of happiness, despite the disgruntled bawking gibberish of their sires. Baths could be a group effort.

The smell was there again, and he flopped onto his side to look just as a tiny handful of white hit him in the face. He snorted once again, the end of his tail thwapping against the cold ground as the small culprit wandered around him and squatted for another handful. A particularly tiny, squishy cub, encumbered by his fat, fluffy, fake skin. The end of Drake's tail raised behind him like a snake about to strike, offering the gentlest of nudges to send the rolly polly tot into the snowbank. Flopping and happy noises resulted, though so did the clucking of its mother.

He stood once more, striding easily toward The Favorite and Strawberry Lady, though it was the contents of the bag the garnered his interest first. It smelled like Other Him. Oh well. He slid past her, the damp, woundless portion of his face rubbing against her side, followed by his neck and shoulder as he properly greeted her for the first time.

Mentally shrugging at Drake's refusal to bathe, Alex stood around talking to the people who had gathered. It was nice that the gun didn't faze them as much as it fazed her to be carrying it at her back so soon after what she'd had to do, but of course they did not know that. Alex then glanced over at where Drake seemed to be ridding himself of foreign smells and assorted non-personal fluids. She looked on, delighted, as little children threw snow at Drake and giggled. Despite the parents' best efforts these kids no longer had any fear for Drake, even though he would look like something out of a cartoon to them.

Although she knew damn well Drake would never push a kid into the snow for anything other than good fun, the boy's mother didn't find it so amusing. Stepping in front of Drake, Alex smiled at the lady. "I'm sorry, he gets excited by snow and play time. He's bigger and scalier, but he's kind of a labrador."

"Yes, one who can tear giant birds apart!" The disgruntled mother counter-pointed.

"And that's why we're all still alive and not missing any limbs." She reminded her gently. With a huff, the lady sloshed away with the little boy by the hand.

Alex smiled at Drake as he returned to her just in time for Natasha to also make an appearance. Alex's smile grew as she took the bag of clothes and Teddy's comm, which she put into a pocket in her vest. "Thanks for everything , I really appreciate it. And you did do great, once I got here he was already following orders pretty well, that's on you." Alex praised.

As he watched Drake move past her to greet Natasha, Alex felt as if she was watching a tennis match. Eyes went from her to him and back then forth again, and she hoped with all her might that Natasha felt okay with this. "He's saying hi," She supplied.

Well, the furies were dead, and Drake seemed to have followed the orders, so Natasha didn't protest. She had only followed Alex's directions, after all. Which had Natasha wondering if she should have Alex on speed dial when she moved into Teddy's home and Alex moved out. Which reminded Natasha.... "Do you mind if we find some time to talk? Just us?" Natasha eyed Drake approaching from her peripheral vision. Maybe she tensed a little, but not too terribly. "Maybe we could grab a drink, or dinner, soon," she continued, trailing off as Drake began to brush his head and nose against her. He was saying hi. "Oh." It was awkward, but she reminded herself this was Teddy. Teddy-ish? Natasha lifted her hand, hesitated, and then patted Drake on the head, like she would a dog.

The pet the the head caused Drake's tail to curl, wrapping loosely around The Favorite's legs as he leaned in to Strawberry Lady's hand. The females were talking, but that meant very little to him at the moment. Right now there was this. This was good. Something about this was very, very good. He didn't know what it was, but it tickled something in his head, in his belly. This meant something. It was important for reasons he didn't know or understand.

Yellow lilies? His head arched to look at The Favorite, quizzically. He didn't know where the words came from, or even what they were, but they'd gotten there somehow. What's yellow lilies?. That thought was overlapped by a second, and this time there was no question involved. Strawberries?

Natasha's request was met with delight on Alex's part. She smiled at the woman, albeit a tired tugging of the lips. "I don't mind at all, I think I suggested something along those lines when we met. We'll get our schedules in sync soon. You have my contact now, so anything you need you can message me. Any time, Natasha." She was Teddy's best friend, Drake's handler. For her own sake as well as theirs, she really wanted to befriend Natasha.

Patting his head was progress, Alex considered, smiling when Drake's tail wrapped around her legs. "He's actually really affectionate, he-" Alex trailed off when Drake looked at her asking about yellow lilies. Alex had no idea what he was on about, and she paused to try to remember but nothing came to mind. "Yellow lilies?" She asked out loud, bottom lip caught between her teeth as she thought some more about it.

And then of course they were back to strawberries. Alex looked back at Natasha sheepishly. "So, um, he seemed to have smelled strawberries in your apartment and keeps asking about them. Think he can have some?"

Natasha nodded, thinking she would know her schedule better once she got into work Monday and could see what the week was going to look like. "I'll figure out a good night for it," she said, her hand still on Drake's head until the creature moved and seemed to look at Alex questioningly. The mention of yellow lilies had Natasha's brows raising, and she looked at Drake. She thought Teddy mentioned that he never remembered what Drake did when he transformed. Did Drake have Teddy's memories?

"Strawberries?" She was distracted by the thought that the animal may be remembering something she and Teddy had talked about. At least until she forced herself to focus. "Oh! Yes, I have strawberries upstairs. I can go get them. Unless you want to come up? He, uh, seems to fit well enough in my apartment."

"Okay, I have kind of a tight schedule and wall duty and whatnot but I'll get days off, hopefully. We'll get to a consensus." Alex grinned. Hopefully she wanted to hang out and not just pry her for information on how to deal with the two for one special she was getting soon. "Do you know what he's talking about with the lilies?" Alex asked, noticing Natasha's reaction to the mention of the flowers.

Looking down at Drake when Natasha suggested coming up, Alex shrugged. strawberries upstairs. Come. she told him, no doubt in her mind that he would trail right after them. Smiling at Natasha, Alex motioned for her to lead the way. "Yeah, if you don't mind of course."

There was no need to trail. The second the information was relayed, that strawberries were on the menu, Drake had already made it up the front stairs to the door, his nose pressed into the glass until one of those still within hesitantly allowed him inside. He knew where he was going, following his own smell, Strawberry Lady's smell, to the second floor and down the hall, ignoring the chattering of those he passed.

He stopped at the door, turning to sit patiently on his haunches to wait for the others. Mostly patient. His tail twitched, flopping from one side of the hall to the other, his tongue clacking loudly against the roof of his mouth.

Strawberries. Eat. He wasn't certain The Favorite was near enough to think in his head, but he tried anyway. The response he got wasn't exactly what he was looking for, the familiar nagging at the back of his mind. He grunted at it, one of his front feet pawing lightly at the side of his face. No. Eat. Go away. Not done.

She was surprised at how quickly Drake took off toward the doors, like he had just been given permission to do so. And apparently he really, really liked strawberries. Natasha followed him, falling into step beside Alex. "The yellow lilies thing... I showed Teddy my ability last night. Illusion manipulation," Natasna clarified with a quick glance. "I created some flowers, and then turned them into yellow lilies. Which I told him was my favorite flower." Natasha held open the door for Alex. "Do they actually share memories? I didn't think Teddy could remember things about Drake? Can Drake remember things that have happened to Teddy?"

"Well, ok then." Was Alex's response to how quickly Drake made the trek upstairs to Natasha's. With only two legs of the sorter variety, though, she would have to take a little longer. Gave her a chance to talk to Natasha, which was nice. "Cool power, gotta show me some time." Alex said in passing, glancing her way as she spoke while they walked. The idea that Drake remembered Natasha's favorite flowers, probably because Teddy really wanted to remember that, amused her. Alex smirked, nodding at Natasha for keeping the door open. "Sometimes. It's very vague, but sometimes one comes up with little hints of stuff the other went through."

Alex could think in his head the moment she started up the stairs. Patience she advised, amusement lacing with the other concept. And then she heard the old familiar struggle. "Uh oh." Alex looked at Natasha. "Teddy wants to come back. Drake wants the strawberries."

Drake was performing the closest action he could to a pout, dropping into a flat laying position with his head on his front legs. He sighed heavily, his tail swaying. The return thought from The Favorite was enough to let him know that she could fully understand him, despite the fact that he couldn't see her. That, at least, provided some comfort. Strawberries. Want. Make him go. It wasn't fair. He'd just gotten out. The Other Him could be out all day if he wanted, eat all of the Furies, have someone else's strawberries. These were his.

Wait, that was wrong. The strawberries on the ledge had smelled like the Other Him. So were they his strawberries? Now Drake wanted to eat them even more. That would show the Not Him. He'd share with The Favorite, though. And the Strawberry Lady. Would she still be the Strawberry Lady if she didn't have the Other Him's strawberries? Maybe. He'd think about it later.

Walking up the stairs, Natasha glanced at Alex in surprise. Teddy wanted to come back. She still had no idea how the transition worked, but Teddy had said he always knew when it was going to happen. Maybe Drake did too. "Well," Natasha said slowly, stepping onto the second floor landing. She could already see Drake flat on the floor in front of her apartment door, tail swishing back and forth. He was like a giant dog, honestly.

"Maybe I can get him a couple before Teddy is back," she suggested, quickening her steps a little. Natasha didn't know if the change happened quickly or not. Or if Teddy would be completely naked when it did. Logic told her that was likely. Natasha stepped around Drake to push open her door for the three of them. "I guess putting his clothes in a bag was a little premature."
